    Lord Chaos Part 2

    LORD CHAOS PART 2

In the deep recesses of Endtime, a group of ten demons gathered around the scared throne of Lord Chaos. Each of the demons was known for being a powerful general of the demon army; each one of them had the power over an element. They were all powerful, and they were all loyal to their master: Lord Chaos.
"The time has arrived," spoke Lord Chaos as he sat on his throne, his hands intertwined and his dark red eyes facing the group. "Our next target has been selected. The infidel humans shall fall once again. I have already looked at the condition of the planet. The entirety of the civilization has been annihilated by one of their leaders... a man by the name of Iridi Lianus. His power is unknown currently, however he is still a human. He should not be difficult to defeat. Therefore, I entrust the invasion to you: my fabled Ten Generals that are feared throughout the universe. There is no reason to have the entire demonic army invade the planet. According to my sources, the only living creatures left on that planet are the ones that have survived Lianus' slaughter, and the legendary entities that have lived their from the beginning of their planet's creation. The job should be easy enough for you ten to handle. Your leader during this mission will be Fire General Ifrit, formerly known as Fire General Scar. As your superior, he has complete control over all of your orders, and you are to comply with anything he says. The only time you may disregard his order, is if I have directly ordered you to do something else. I will not participate much in this battle against Magica, however, I may make an appearance if things seem to grow out of control. You are allowed to bring a number of two subordinates each. You may not have anymore than two at your side. Once you have collected your two, you may begin your invasion. I will open you a portal in a day's time to the planet. Use that portal to transport yourselves to Magica, and destroy the population, and then I shall arrive and absorb the Sentinel Muin. Is that all understood?"
"Yes, my Lord," echoed the sound of the ten generals. Lord Chaos gave them a dismissive glance, and they rose off their knees and headed out to collect their subordinates and prepare for the invasion.

Dusk leaned his head back and laid down on the barren wasteland. The dim sunlight glared towards him, and it couldn't even provide enough light to make him wince. Had there once been a time when the sun was powerful, and brought everything to life? If there had been such a time, then it no longer existed. All that existed on the planet was now rubble and destruction. During the 19 years of Dusk's existence, he had lived peacefully with his Uncle Kami. He wasn't exactly sure how his Uncle did it, but Dusk had always had a good meal and plenty of food to eat. Dusk was certain there was a secret, a large secret, behind his Uncle, but he had never asked. It wasn't out of fear, but more out of respect. If his Uncle had not told him, then it meant his Uncle did not want to tell him. After all, his Uncle had told Dusk when Dusk was young that he was adopted, and that his parents had died from the thick red smog that now covered the entire world. Dusk had felt alone, but he had realized that he had his Uncle to provide him company, and of course, he always had his pet wolf.
Dusk began to recall the time he had first encountered his pet wolf. It had been an average day, much like any other. On this world, the days were exactly the same, and the events always recurred. History had never repeated itself so much. That day, however, was different. Dusk had been walking around the wastelands around his house, much like he had always did, and Dusk had been muttering to himself and thinking about his parents. A small yelp had emitted from nearby, and he instantly rushed to find the source of the noise. A small creature had been lying at his feet, dying from thirst and hunger. He had never encountered such a creature before, and his first emotions were mixed and confused. He didn't know what to do, so he rushed to find his Uncle Kami. His Uncle had rushed with him, and took the create in his hands and fed it and nourished it back to good health. The animal had been overwhelmingly grateful, and remained by their side. He asked his Uncle what the creature was.
"It's a Wolf," replied his Uncle in his old voice, "You don't see many of them anymore, just as you don't see many of anything. When the toxin was released, it even killed animals and plants. There was such a diversity of life on this planet, Dusk. Elephants, zebras, ants, and trees... there were hundreds of thousands of different lifeforms. However, just like our human race, they all died out. It seemed this Wolf made it somehow. It must be suffering greatly. Wolves don't usually separate from their packs."
    "Their... packs?" Dusk inquired.
"Yes. Wolves are different from other animals because they stick together. They have packs and together, they can overcome even the greatest of challenges. Without a pack, though, a wolf is completely powerless."
"I see...." Dusk muttered while eying the wolf sadly.
"But you know," his Uncle had continued, "This wolf doesn't necessarily need a wolf-pack." Dusk stared at his Uncle in confusion, "We can be its pack." His Uncle smiled towards him and Dusk found himself wondering once again how his uncle was able to determine his position if he were blind. Nonetheless, Dusk had been excited. The Wolf joining their small family was a refreshing change of pace. The Wolf easily integrated into their family, and somehow, Uncle Kami had still found a way to keep up with the Wolf's intense hunger.
Dusk continued laying back and watched the sun set. He watched as the sun began to disappear and as dusk struck the world, perfectly aligned with the enormous pyramid. In the distance, he could see the giant hole carved into the pyramid, and he could see the walking figures of the giant Gran Pulse. It was scary living in this world, but somehow, Dusk knew, he could overcome it.

The Ten Generals assembled with their subordinates at the portal leading to Magica. Once they entered, there would be no return until the world was destroyed. If they failed, they would be killed. That was the way Lord Chaos' army worked. They knew, and they accepted it. Failure was not an option; failure was never an option.
"Once we enter," spoke Fire General Ifrit, "We may come across Iridi Lianus' forces. Currently, the only known threats to us are Iridi Lianus himself, a legendary powerful Golem known as Gran Pulse, and a large Snake known as Lindzei. There are most likely more enemy forces that we do not know about. Proceed with caution, and submit reports often. Make sure everything is dead before we summon Lord Chaos. Failure will not be tolerated. You may now begin the invasion."
The other demon generals nodded and entered the portal. They entered the worm hole and emerged in Magica, landing on barren dead soil. "They weren't kidding when they said everything was dead," Shadow General Drake muttered. Fire General Ifrit nodded in response, and with his two subordinates, disappeared in a burst of flame.
Necromantic General Nix disappeared in a burst of dark death, and soon the other generals followed suit.

    The invasion... had begun.

    Flicker flicker flicker....flicker flicker

Dawn blinked a few more times and opened her eyes again. She was still in the jail cell, staring at the metal bars. The tall, daunting metal bars barring her freedom on the other side.
She opened her mouth and breathed in air.
Another day. Or maybe night? She’d lost track of time in this place. There were no windows to tell her whether the sun was shinning or not. There were no birds chirping outside.
But maybe it was because the walls were so thick sound couldn’t pass through
‘Sound is just the vibration of molecules in objects within hearing frequency of the human hearing organs....’ Dawn recited mentally ‘that’s why we hear stuff.’ she smirked weakly. She hadn’t eaten in three days. Three long, painful days.
One night, she had gone to sleep as usual, but didn’t wake up in her own bed. She woke up in whatever this place was.... A prison? A holding block? Solitary confinement? Were there others around her? Or was she too weak to hear them. Either way, she didn’t hear anything or anyone for days.
‘I really want some of Mama’s cookies right now. They sound delicious.’ Dawn thought. Mama had always been there for her, either with a warm hug or just fresh batch of chocolate chip cookies.
Not the way her father had been there fore her. Heck, Dawn had never seen her own father before, so he had never been there.. The only connection she had with him, however, was just a stupid gunblade.
    A gunblade.
What was she going to do with a sword the fires bullets with a revolver mechanism? She wasn’t going to war. Christian could at least have given her a necklace or bracelet or something decent enough do remember him by. Something personal.
    Where was Christian anyways?
Dawn had only heard his name being tossed around the house right and left. Even after asking Vaena, her Mama, who he was and where her father was, Vaena replied with a simple ‘Now’s not the time’. And from hence forth, Dawn had always referred to her own father by his name.
She may have been his daughter, but he was not her father.
No father would ever leave his child for the mother to take care of alone, not unless something tragic happened.
Dawn breathed again and kept a smirk even though it was a no-smile situation. Maybe someone would come and rescue her, maybe her father would finally show up to open the prison door that separated them for nineteen and a half years.
But why come now? Why, after two decades of neglect and ignorance, show up out of the blue to rescue her? Would she be able to forgive him? Would she be mad?
‘Mama has blue hair.’ Dawn thought, pushing herself up right. She might not have eaten food or drank for days, but this was no excuse in the army. You survive or you don’t.
    ‘Kind of like evolution.’

Still groggy and hungry, Dawn sat quietly in her place and waited. She didn’t know what she was waiting for, but her hands were resting on her pink pajamas, as if dead.
Maybe someone could tell her whether it was day or night. Provided some one did come.
Dawn sat still, shifting her gaze from the metal bars to her bare feet.
Did they really have to kidnap her in pink pajamas? It was a good thing she was wearing pants and a full-sleeve shirt. It was cold.
And somehow, it reminded her of the warmer side of Christian.
She never met her father but somehow felt his presence with her in the same room they were in. Along with him came the feeling of hate. It empowered her and made her despise Christian even more.
Why did he leave his daughter to be raised by a single mother? Did he hate Mama? Or did he find out that having kids wasn’t what it was cracked out to be?
‘I really wish Mama was here with her cookies. I just really wish she was here.’

It's warm. It's warm today. I hate this feeling I get when it's this hot. I hear foot steps. It must be him; the meeting's over. By the Devil, I wish he'd just let me go like he promised.
In the Black Citadel the Lightning General, Carnage arose and marched through the dark passages. Outside flame rose abd fell from all sides of the grey rock platform. Carnage allowed his wings space to move and then took to the air. Minutes went by and he could now see Teivel resting on top of a mountain. He landed sharply but with great ease and strolled to Teivel.
'A fitting name' Carnage thought. 'Teivel, a name he chose after coming to Earth. The Yiddish name for the Devil'.
"I thought our agreement was clear, half-breed" Teivel began, "I would train and not do anything to upset my father and you were not to interrupt me."
"As clear as our arrangement was, I have duties that may now encompass you."
"What's it now? First you're supposed to be my new trainer and now you've got missions?"
"Your father has seen it fit that you join me in our next Domination attempt."
Finally, my father acknowlegdes my power. My existance.
Teivel grinned beneath his helm and rose to meet Carnage's appeal to fly. Carnage lead as they flew towards the Lightning Citadel. The sky in this world was a constant hue of a grey molded red and it rarely rained. This whole 'relm' was controlled and owned by Lord Chaos. It is said that during the Dark Creation, Lord Chaos made it that the rain would be a special acid and he ensured that the sky was never clear. Off of this dark energy, Chaos blossomed. Carnage was not born a demon, but was a half-breed between a human and a demon. Lord Chaos saw his potential and promoted him to a general once he had mastered his element. Carnage had a bitter tale to tell, however, he had to be strong and push forward. He had to make sure that Teivel was trained to be a mighty general and that he regained his respect among the demons. His small failure during the Earth domination forced him into making this deal with Lord Chaos. Now Lord Chaos looks for results in this test. Teivel must be able to fight and work with the others. There was no doubt in Carnage's mind that one of the generals was charged with watching Teivel's performance. He was unsure about one thing still. Was Teivel ready?
"So what are the orders?" Teivel forced out of boredom.
"We're going to cleanse a planet for your father to arrive. We leave tommorow and each general will bring two subordinates and I chose you and Salpson. We're going to make sure nothing, and I mean nothing, bothers your father when he arrives. I expect that your training has prepared you well enough."
"Yes, well I followed the course thoroughly as commanded, but I'm surprised you took the easy option and let me train by myself. I thought you'd be watching me night and day, pet."
"Watch your tongue" Carnage calmly expelled, "I know you'll be good. My existance is not the only one that hangs in the balance, besides I had my reasons."
"Of course, father's sent you off to the chronicler herald to learn well."
Carnage dismissed the last comment as they decended and planted themselves at the base of the citadel. He commanded Teivel to fetch Salpson and then stood out into the sky.

A day passed and after the preparation, Carnage left with his lieutenants to meet with the other. They stood in anticipation as the que inched foward. Instructions were given and as the fifth general, Carnage was in charge of more than just baby-sitting.
"Once, we enter" Carnage shouted as he tried to overcome the massive sucking sound of the portal, "be ready for anything and do not forget, you don't walk away from me!"
Carnage's eyes lighted up and a rare sight fell on Teivel's eyes. Carnage was smiling. He was about to enter his greatest element. War.

"Dusk," his Uncle's old voice resounded urgently from the entrance to the house, "Dusk: come back home immediately."
The 19-year-old boy heaved a sigh and rose. Life... could get so boring. It was always the same routine. Every. Single. Day. He would wake up to the sound of Wolf's barks, wake up and take a shower in cold water (the heating system no longer worked efficiently now that the sun was dying out), eat breakfast- which usually comprised of some toast and sugar to keep him energized, then Uncle Kami would teach him different subjects until Lunch time where they usually ate a sandwich of some sort, and finally between lunch and dinner, Dusk could do anything he wanted. He generally spent this time outside, sitting either on the roof of the small single-story house, or lying down in the sandy grovel imagining how the world may have once been. On other days he would play with Wolf and would spend his time talking to him, but lately he had become quiet again. It hit him in fluctuations, generally.
For a period of time, he would care about his parents and want to know more. After that he would return to not caring for their lives and focusing on his life alone, but then the cycle would repeat and he would wonder about how his parents must have felt giving birth to him then dying shortly afterwords. Currently, he was wondering what kind of conversations The Original and his parents might have had. According to his Uncle, his parents had known The former commander of Iridi Lianus' forces known as The Original. They had spent a fair amount of time with him, and somehow had become friends. If only I could have been born earlier thought Dusk as he walked towards his concerned Uncle, whose features were etched with worry as Dusk walked into the house what's the point living in a world this dead?
His Uncle's head faced him in concern, and his uncle sighed heavily.
"There's something we need to talk about, Dusk," his Uncle Kami muttered. The two took their usual place at the dinner table, which was a small wooden table that itself could only fit two people. The slabs of meet and rice were already set out in front of him, and Uncle Kami grabbed a piece and threw it towards Wolf to eat.
"What do you want to talk about?" asked Dusk hesitantly. He and his Uncle did not often converse in conversation while eating.
His Uncle took a mouth-full of meat and swallowed it, Dusk grabbed a piece with his hands and began to eat as well.
"The thing is-" his Uncle suddenly cut off and walked towards the window, pushing himself softly out of his chair and striding through the small living room. Dusk stopped eating, and Wolf lowered his piece of meat and the two watched Kami as he stood in front of the window.

They're here thought Kami. He sensed as a number of powerful entities instantly appeared at the old city of Balard. The various essences split apart into ten groups instantaneously and they covered different parts of the world. Luckily for them, none of the essences were anywhere nearby to their location. Lianus, this is your chance. Along with Gran Pulse and Lindzei, you can defeat them. Kami clenched his fists and expanded his sensory range. Lord Chaos... isn't with them. This is odd. He must have known that there was no need to send in foot soldiers, so he only sent in the Ten Generals. That explains the power level of the earlier demons. Lord Chaos probably doesn't plan to appear anytime soon. Lianus will have to defeat the Ten Generals before he can face Chaos itself. Only then... will the world truly be saved. Kami suddenly had an instinctive urge to appear at the side of the throne of the pyramid and report back to Lianus that the demons had arrived. However, Kami knew far better than that. He suppressed the urge and turned back towards his new life: towards Dusk and Wolf. Iridi Lianus would have to do without his ultimate weapon, he had known that the moment he had attempted to kill him. The price of wielding The Sword of Aeons, at the end, meant more to him than fighting alongside Kami. Kami did not hold any grudges against Lianus, he perfectly understood his motive and had even allowed it to happen. If only there were some other way, though.
Unfortunately, there was nothing, he had to make sure that Dusk was safe. As long as Dusk was safe, his life had meaning, and he had a purpose. He could sense a mix of Faith and Illian's energy flow within the teenager, and he concealed a smile as he sat back at the table.
"What's... wrong?" asked Dusk in concern.
Uncle Kami turned his head towards Dusk, and continued eating. I'll have to keep vigilant watch from now on. This will most likely call for a clone being made to constantly watch over any occurrence that may happen. I have to ensure Dusk's safety in the Demonic invasion, no matter what the price.

"Listen, Dusk. I'm afraid I can't allow you to step foot outside of the house anymore."
    "What... why?!" Dusk replied angrily.
    "It's too dangerous outside."
"No it's not. I've been outside every day for the past year. There's no life to threaten our existence. Pulse could care less about us, Lianus doesn't know of our existence, and there's basically nothing else to threaten us."
"There's a new threat that has recently made an appearance." Dusk stopped talking and regarded his Uncle. "Do you remember Lianus' motives for killing the entire world population?"
"To... protect the world from a Demonic onslaught?"
"Precisely. The demons have recently entered the world."
    "How..... do you know?"
"Just trust me, Dusk. It's no longer safe outside. Remain indoors from now on. We should be perfectly fine if we remain out of sight until Lianus vanquishes the demons."
"And what if he doesn't?! What if the demons destroy the world?!" Dusk retaliated.
Uncle Kami rose his head and faced Dusk directly. The outline of his eyes set Dusk slightly out of ease, and he watched him with slight fear. He had never raised his voice at Uncle Kami before.
    "Have Faith, Dusk."
And the conversation ended. As the meal finished, Dusk shrunk back to the shabby couch in the living room and watched the blank walls thoughtlessly. The demons were now here... they were here to kill everyone. But how did his Uncle know? How could his Uncle be sure?
Certainly his Uncle could be mistaken- or perhaps not. Dusk did believe in the Demons. He did believe in Iridi Lianus, and he did believe that at one time, humans populated the world in the billions, rather than the hundreds. Gran Pulse and the pyramid were proof. Dusk recalled everything his Uncle had taught him: About Lord Chaos, about Sentinels, about everything. It had not only been history, but mathematics, human anatomy, and even the concepts of magic. His Uncle had once tested to see if Dusk held any magical prowess, but the test had failed, and the two came to the conclusion that Dusk was, unfortunately, an average human.
Wolf paced over and laid down in Dusk's lap. It regarded him with large eyes, and Dusk couldn't help but smile and hug the creature. "Don't worry, boy, we'll take care of any demon that comes near the house." Could they really, though? Uncle Kami seemed to old to fight off a horde of demons; though there was a certain mystique around his Uncle, Dusk reasoned that such a mystique accompanied any person heavy in age. After all, despite some of the slight miracles his Uncle could pull off, there was nothing extraordinarily special about him.
His Uncle had finished cleaning the table and house and sat next to Dusk on the couch. The two sat silently, wondering what the future of the world may be life. There wasn't an awkward silence in the air, but rather a soothing muteness that seemed to calm the nerves.

    "Uncle Kami," Dusk muttered.
    "Yes?"
"How did you know my parents? You've always dodged the question whenever I ask you. I want to know."
"I don't dodge the question. I've already told you multiple times, I was their friend."
"Yeah," huffed Dusk, "But what else? How did you meet them? Even if you were their friend, you never told me much about the first time you met them..."
Uncle Kami laughed and turned his head and faced Dusk, "Alright, I'll tell you. The truth is, I found your mom at the ruins of the old city she loved. It was a random confrontation, and we sat and talked for a long time. I didn't stay for much longer, but I met them both again for a second time at the Rebellion headquarters. At the time, they were busy preparing for your arrival, and I could do little but assist them. By the time Lianus' toxin spread, you were born and they had died."
"What kind of things did you guys talk about?"
"Well, trivial things really. Nothing worth mentioning."
Dusk took the hint and stopped talking for a brief period of time. He had managed to get his uncle to go more in depth about his past with his parents, so maybe he could continue and finally ask the question that was burning deep within him: but something he could never muster the courage to actually ask.
"Why... do you wear those blindfolds?" Dusk spilled out nervously.
"These?" Uncle Kami pointed to the blindfolds, "Because I'm blind!" he laughed out. "It just looks cool when I wear these."
Dusk didn't buy the answer, but he accepted it for now. He had finally managed to voice the question that had stirred his heart for so long. The time would eventually arise when he would pursue his true answer and find out the hidden secrets his Uncle was hiding from him.

Necromantic General Nix strolled the outlines of the pyramid. Lord Chaos had given them the option to bring two subordinates along, but Nix preferred to act individually. Any subordinate he'd need he could just raise from the dead. His Necromantic magic was certainly harder to exert than the other demons mainly because he needed a corpse nearby to reanimate, but the results once he succeeded were exponentially greater. He could bring a person back to life with or without their soul in tact. They would retain their personality and emotions, but control over their body would be completely up to Nix's will. They would be instantly immortal once reanimated. If they were cut down, they'd regenerate and fight back in the same condition as they were when they died.
Nix had decided to appear near the pyramid because he sensed heavily powered corpses around. Nix's sensory abilities differed greatly from the others in the sense that he could sense how recently something had died, and how powerful it had been. Near the pyramid, there was a cluster of power that had power rivaling an entire platoon of demons.
"Someone was preparing for an attack," Nix noted as he observed the surroundings. He could see the giant golem Gran Pulse in the distance. None of the demon generals had decided to engage it in battle. The current phase now was the preparations before the war. Spying, information gathering, and sabotage were their current goals. When things were ready, they'd launch their attack- most likely beginning with Gran Pulse. When all the others were cut down, they'd summon Lord Chaos to take out the Sentinel, and all would be finished.
Nix bent down and tasted the ground. The taste of death was fresh upon his tongue, and he determined that not longer than a year ago, a powerful army that juxtaposed the realm of man and monster had died... was that the cause of all the deaths on this planet? Or were they simply building blocks made to forge something even greater?
Nix grabbed a small bag from his pocket and spilled the bones within it to the ground. The smaller an object was, the faster he could reanimate it. He always carried around this information-gathering subordinate wherever he went, and it could instantly appear by his side at will. After a minute of performing incantations, the bones burst to life and combined. Skin soon peeled over the bones and flesh finalized an formed a tiny Imp.
"Master Nix!" The Imp muttered in surprise. It gathered its surroundings quickly and muttered, "Destroying another planet?"
"Yes. I need you to gather intelligence from what you can of this world. You may want to begin with this pyramid. It seems to be the center of the entire world, and you will undoubtedly find the information I am seeking there."
"What kind of information are you expecting, my lord?"
"Anything about what has occurred to the local population, and any threats we should be aware of."
"Hah! Too easy. I'll take care of it within the hour."
Necromantic General Nix lowered his head in acceptance, and the Imp disappeared in a cloud of decay. With that taken care of, Nix prepared to perform his next task... first, though, he'd need to locate the perfect corpse. Even if a corpse was reduced to ash, provided some of its essence still clung to the surroundings, he could reanimate the dead and make it follow his every will.
With a flash of dark decay, Nix appeared in a destroyed city. There were large buildings that had crashed into the ground, and now the entire city was no longer worth noticing to the average demon or human... but for Nix, this place was a haven of dead souls he could extract to do his bidding. He located a nearby corpse and spent a minute's worth incantation and brought the corpse to life. Similar to the Imp, the human bones assembled in order then regrew its skin and flesh. The internal organs would vanish, and all that was left were the flesh, bones, and soul of the person. The only way to end the reanimation technique was for Nix himself to call off the ability, if Nix no longer had the energy to support the reanimated corpses, or if Nix died. So long as Nix had the energy and will to support the corpse, it would live immortally and could not be stopped by anything: not physical strength, not attacks, and certainly not magic. The dead were immune to magical effects, and it was this that made Necromantic General Nix one of the most feared Generals throughout the Demonic empire.
The human came to reanimated life and glanced around his city in fear. "What's going on?!" the thing screamed. Nix reasoned it had once been a male, and he watched as it freaked out and bumped into the wall.
"Silence, human." The man's body suddenly stopped moving, and even though his soul was vibrating with fear, his body was fixated in its position until Nix willed otherwise.
"Tell me, what has occurred on this world?"
The human was still staring in horror, and its mouth would open then close multiple times without emitting a single sound. It was still terrified at the glance of General Nix. It had not noticed him earlier, instead noticing the destroyed city that at one time must have been its home. Nix patiently waited for the human's soul to calm before asking again, "What has happened on this planet?"
The human still watched in fixated horror, unable to mutter a single thing. General Nix's patience reached a limit, and he lowered his head in anger. "TELL ME, YOU FORSAKEN CREATURE, WHAT HAS OCCURRED TO THIS WORLD."
The man was still abash with fear, and unable to move his eyes away from the demon.
"Pathetic," muttered the demon, "To think humans were this weak. I'm surprised you creatures are born with spines. You don't serve me any use, go back to the hell you were in."
Necromantic General Nix pried his glance away from the human, and the skin and bones burst again into a pile of dust. "Looks like I'll have to search somewhere else. Hopefully the Imp is having better luck than I am."

"Dawn? Sweety? Are you ok?" a soft voice asked. No, it couldn't be... "My god, what did they do to you?" her body was lifted off the ground and flung over a person's back. It really felt like Mama's. Warm, soft.
But Dawn kept breathing through her nose, unable to respond. She had no energy to stay awake, let alone express her joy of getting out, although she didn't exactly know how Mama was able to find her.

Vaena walked through the empty, silent hall carrying Dawn on her back. She'd grown over the years, but that was expected. People grow and get a lot heavier. Why, just yesterday she carried Dawn on her back from elementary school
    'Time passes by really fast...'
The last time she was in Lianus's pyramid was 19 years ago with Christian. However, she was not familiar with the layout because of one simple reason:
    This place was huge.
It wasn't castle-sized or super-sized or anything of the sort. It took up a good chunk of the entire planet just to make the base of the pyramid.
As an engineer, Vaena was wowed by the size and mechanics of the entire place. As a normal human being, she didn't have time to smell the roses and needed to get her daughter out of here.

"According to our intel, that girl with the red hair is Lianus's prisoner. And your daughter. Your orders Cap?" one of the soldiers asked. Jason Sevchenko was always referred to as Captain-Commander, but he went with Cap just because it was easier to say. They were both kneeling on a high platform above the sight of the normal human. It was see-able, but not noticeable.
Jason blindly followed the woman carrying a girl on her back through the empty hall with his rifle scope. This wasn't how he imagined seeing his daughter for the first time, but business was business and he needed to play hero. But what was Vaena doing here? That was the question. Was she also transported with Dawn here in a freak accident. Sev touched his ear piece "Alpha and Bravo, stand by for further orders. Charlie, proceed as planned. Call it in."
"Roger." Alpha leader replied, then Bravo and finally ended by Charlie
"Delta, how we doin' on the orbital strike?"
"Cap, we're putting the final touches on the warheads. We should be done in 15."
"Good. Wolf-Dawn: Do not screw this up." Jason removed his hands off of his ear piece and turned to the soldier next to him and shook his head in a direction. He stood up and followed Cap into wherever the heck he was going.

Vaena heaved another giant breath and eventually stopped in her place. She was in an open chamber. This could serve as a good resting spot until she could find the strength to carry her daughter again and finish the last stretch.
Nearing a wall, Vaena gasped again for air and knelt. She let Dawn drop from her back and lay against the cement. It wasn't comfy, but then again, Dawn wasn't really awake.
Vaena sat down next to Dawn and felt her head kneeling on her shoulder. Now she didn't have to sleep on the ground or a crappy mattress or anything else.
"You know, Lord Lianus did not want to create me." Someone spoke. A mysterious figure in a complete black hood appeared before Vaena and Dawn "He wished to save his power for the true fight in the future. But you threaten our victory by taking away what is rightfully his."
Vaena stood up and quickly swung her spear, but he had jumped out of the way and landed a few meters behind his original place. Rightfully his? Was this guy serious? "You're not going to take my daughter." she spoke firmly
"She will be the dawn of a new era, human. She will save us all and give us a new day. And you will hand her to me now." he summoned a sword. The blade was glowing blue.

Jason Sevchenko and Nick saw something in the corner of the huge chamber. It wasn't a surprise that they found Vaena and Dawn. But there was another person with them. He was emanating some weird aura, similar to that of Lianus's.
    Could he be a Muerta?
Then Vaena was in trouble and they needed to help quickly.
"Nick, grab Dawn and meet up with Alpha-Bravo. Go." Sev whispered before patting his shoulder, ordering that he run as quickly as possible.

"Teivel! Teivel!" A voice shouted in a whisper.
I can't feel anything. My legs. My arms. Nothing. It's cold. Where are we? Oh, right. Invasion. I feel light on my eyes.
"Wake up, Teivel. We have to keep going!" Carnage said as Teivel slowly woke up and groggily began to rise to his feet. Teivel looked around in a confused state and then looked at Carnage.
    "What happened?"
"We were transported here by Lord Chaos. It is abnormal but not unknown that sometimes this warp can have accidents. When we came into this atmosphere you came in too strong. You hit your head pretty hard. Right now we're in a ridge. I can see the pyramid North from here. I can sense Nix on that side. The others landed a bit further East and two are South. We're scattered well. We'll cover good ground. What is-". Carnage stopped mid-way as he looked at the golem. Then he smiled.
Teivel looked around him and saw the amazing sight. It was a eternal winter as he saw it. The sky was a dark blue and it was much colder than he had ever felt. Salpson was currently running towards the pyramid. He was charged with finding any weaknesses in its design and any signs of life. The air was thick with a red pigment and the ground was a light brown rock. Sandy patches were floating here and there and no plants were seen.
Carnage seems to know what he's doing but what's he looking-
"We're not going to attack it" Carnage warned psychicaly.
"You and I are going to find any old buildings. Then you're going to read every single book about this planet's history."
    "Me?!" Teivel screamed in outrage.
"Yes, you. Now, Nix has gone somewhere. Probably doing the usual. Let's go further south. We'll see what we can find."

Flying high above the redsphere, the two demons found an old abandoned house. It was grey-brown from decay and no moss would cover the moist wood. It was average in size and it seemed as though nothing had been living close in a long time. The dirt was cold and felt more like swamp mud. Small river plants grew on giant heaps on soil and the sun was weak in penatration.
"This sun is dying" Carnage said.
"Dying? Then this planet will face great horrors. We may as well end it for them. Why will this Lianus try and stop us? Does he not see it is inevatible?"
"Hope. It is strong with their Faith and ambitions" Carnage replied, "We'll rest here for the night. You'll need enerrgy after that fall."
The sun was on its climax and swayed in between as its core shook. The small population of life on this planet gave a fragile equilibrium to itself. Carnage felt less eager to destroy anything. Little to no life. A doomed planet and nine other generals to compete with. At night he'd have to report in and give a full analysis. He thought of the golem and it gave him pleasure. The fight worth mentioning after this was all over.

Shadow General Drake landed softly on the dead terrain. It was one of the beauties of having full control of Shadow-magic: you literally had the mass of a feather. No matter how bad the fall, or how terrible the resistance, Drake would be able to counter it with his flexibility.
The majority of the Ten Generals had landed in a nearby patch, but those who entered the portal earlier or later were most likely on a completely different portion of the world. Alongside the Shadow General were the Necromantic General, the Fire General Ifrit, and the new Wind General. Drake remembered the old Wind General, Itachi, with a frown. He had been crushed so easily by a Sentinel. Of course, at that time, all the other demons were extraordinarily weaker. The power of the demon army resided with the power of Lord Chaos. The stronger Lord Chaos became, the stronger the entire Demon army became.
The Necromantic General disappeared followed by the new Wind General and her subordinates (OoC: Yes. HER. This RP needs demonic estrogen). Drake's subordinate, a demon by the name of Fal, stood by the Shadow General's side, waiting for its orders. Currently, they were in reconnaissance mode: they'd need to scout out any points of interest, and find out any threats they'd have to take care of. This would last for at least a day, after which they would launch their official attack, most likely beginning with the giant Golem Gran Pulse in the distance.
Gran Pulse, like the pyramid, could be seen from the far distance. Even though the Shadow General was practically on the other side of the planet, he could clearly see Gran Pulse. The vibrations and throbs within the planet could be felt from Gran Pulse's footsteps even at this distance.
"That's... a massive entity..." muttered Fal.
"It certainly is. Even Mother Nature of Earth wasn't that large. I think we'll have ourselves a fair battle arising soon. We should probably prepare for the night. Fal, I want you to use your unique invisibility ability to follow Gran Pulse. Find out what its objective is: what is it doing now, and what are its plans? Report back here at night, and then we'll meet up with the other Generals."
"Yes, my liege," Fal replied with his head lowered.
"Be careful. If that thing spots you, your finished. I wont come to your rescue."
"I understand," Fal responded before taking off.
Now for my turn, I should probably be taking off as well. The dying sun proved an enormous threat to Drake's abilities. He wasn't able to properly merge into shadows, and wasn't able to solidify himself at his average speed. There were barely enough shadows on the world was it was: the entire landscape was flat. No trees, houses, or other things existed. The only thing Drake could use was the enormous shadow sent down by the pyramid, but even then the shadow was too weak because of the weak flare of the sun. This is going to be difficult for me.

The Undead Imp scaled the sides of the pyramid at an alarming speed. It covered a vast distance in a matter of seconds, but even with its abnormal velocity, it still couldn't reach the summit before midnight struck. It would have to report back to the Necromantic General before night... scaling the pyramid was not an option for now. The Undead Imp scanned the pyramid and decided to invest its time exploring the large hole in the southern portion of the pyramid.
As it entered the maw of the looming pyramid, the Imp came to several different realizations. The first was that within this giant hole existed an even larger space that seemed big enough to store Gran Pulse himself. Chained to the corners of the large dome were four shackles, each connected to a portion of the pyramid. One on the upper left, one on the upper right, another on the lower left, and the final on the lower right. Between the upper left and right shackles was a chain with a giant cuff that seemed large enough to lock a head between.
The Imp landed on one of the shackles and studied it with a beady eye. There was no damage to the constraints, so the Imp reasoned that whatever had been constrained was released. It was also probable that after being released, it punched a hole through the pyramid and rose out... but what was it that was held here? Was it Gran Pulse... or was it something else?
Out of the corner of its eye, the small Imp spotted a tunnel large enough for a human to fit through. Most likely, it was a corridor that led throughout the entire pyramid. It landed on its feet and squabbled to the hallway carefully, its ears pricked and prepared for any noise. After ensuring its safety, and that no life forms were nearby, it flattered its wings and began to navigate through the winding hallway. It seemed to cross passages for what felt like hours, the only sounds nearby were the distant stomps of Gran Pulse's footsteps, and the flattering of the Undead Imp's wings. After another extended period of time, the Imp finally reared into a small chamber that contained multiple cells. Another holding area. Is this entire pyramid a prison?
The Imp squandered and analyzed the holding room. There were five cells, four of which were in perfect condition, and one of which had been wrecked. The metal bars were cleanly cut through and were tossed aside. The Imp bent down and traced its finger along the metal bar. Its finger became moist with damp water. The cut through the bars had been diagonal, and there was no weapon that could cut that cleanly diagonally than a spear.
Even for a spear though, these metal bars seemed heavily reinforced... there was no way the cut could be this clean. The Imp lowered its small head and observed the cut area of the bars. At the edges, water dripped down to the ground and created a small puddle of water. The water was still cold, and since there was still water on the bars to drip, the Imp deduced that it must have been cut recently. Undoubtedly, the spear had been coated with high-frequency vibrating water that managed to easily cut through the bars. The bars were then tossed aside easily, showing that the infiltrator had super human strength of some sort. Judging from the dents beneath the bars, however, it was nothing worth noting. What was truly interesting was the puddle of water that formed near the middle of the cell. The Imp tried to imagine what may have happened. The spear must have somehow been desummoned, and the high frequency water had simply splashed to the ground without anything to coat. The Imp noticed the heavy shoe-prints imprinted in the cell leading deeper within, then out and through the exit.
So, someone had been captured, and the infiltrator broke into the pyramid, cut threw the bars, stooped down to pick up the fainted prisoner, carried the prisoner on their shoulder (this was evident because of the clearer shoe prints after the infiltrator carried the prisoner. The water had printed harder, showing there was more weight), then left through the exit. For what reason, though? The water had, obviously, rubbed off of the shoe heels. To an average human, it would be impossible to trace. But as the Undead Imp had suspected, the water had been cast using magic: as a result, a faint tint of magical residue covered the air. If the Imp could follow this residue, it would find the prisoner and the infiltrator, and perhaps even more Intel as to their future enemies.

The sun was now gone over the edge of land that Carnage could see and the moonless night took over. The generals would be meeting soon and Carnage had to leave.
"Teivel, I'm heading out to meet the others. Stay here with Salpson. It was fortunate that this house was filled with these books."
"Yes, but how unfortunate that I had to read them all."
Carnage smirked and then turned for the door. He sped across the water as he jolted his nervous system with an increased electircal current. The water hardly moved as he pricked the it and swayed towards the shadows. Closer to the base of the pyramid he found the mark to show where they would meet, it was a small symbol carved into a large boulder.
The night air chilled Carnage as he entered a small cave, no doubt created by Rock General Obizoth. The wind howled in the small opening and nine different coloured eyes starred back at Carnage's pale blue. The red of Ifrit forced Carnage back one step.
"Now, we can begin" Red began.
"Before we do" Purple said, "what are we going to do about that golem?" Nix was impatient as always. Seeking to end things as quickly as possible. It was amazing he could put up with his own powers.
"Yes, we'll get to that" White said calmly. Her voice was always smooth and soothing. Ninurta was her name before becoming a demon. Carnage had befriended her during the years he had spent in Endtime. She was a good companion during his years of research.
"Now, we'll start with the full anylsis and then get to the plan that we've played out."
The eyes moved up and down in a slight nod and Ifrit continued.
"From what I can tell, this place had been in its current state for at least fifteen years. The decay on the structures do not show any form of forced demolition. The lack of plant and animal life suggest that the organisms died from a sort of viral outburst. The pyramid had eluded its purpose and meaning to me, but we'll see what the rest of you can tell me. Carnage, what have you noticed?"
"Water is clean and some plants still grow due to biological resistance, homes are empty and technology seems to much more advanced than both that of Earth and Ragnarok. According to their history, there are many sentinals here. But only one maintains this planet. We will have to be cautious while fighting and keep an eye out for any others. The pyramid that stands tall points in no particular direction and there is no sign of a domestic dominant life. The sun's light is weak and it shaking. An implusion is probable. The records I found also suggest that there are...creatures that were created through there own efforts. Humans lived here and prospered well. Amazingly, these creatures that they created are actually weapons. I do not know how they look or if they still exist, but if we find them they might prove useful."
Carnage ended by closing his eyes for a few seconds and then opened them again.
"Drake, as the most thorough investigator, what have you found?" Drake's black eyes could hardly be seen but his light blue outline ensured his visibility.

    "Salpson, stop slacking!"
"Baby brother, do not talk to me as if you're special" Salpson responded.
"Oh, and are you flesh and blood of Lord Chaos, or are you an experiment gone wrong?"
Salpson looked down and remembered his place. Teivel was the only demon with a string bond to Lord Chaos. Salpson had been created during Lord Chaos' first conquest of a planet named Ragnarok. Ragnarok was a fortress of creatures called Vikinn. A primative race that relied on large swords and broad axes. They lived on a planet that was filled with lava and black stone. The Vikinn were hardly prepared for an attack such as that that Chaos brought. At that time he had two generals. One was Scar and the other is now dead. His name was Scox, the old Lightning General. He had to die in order to pass the elemental ability to Carnage. Carnage did not know all of this but Sapson did. Sapson was there for it all. Down to the day Teivel was created. Lord Chaos kneeled on the gorund in pain with, his head facing the ground and his eyes glaring at his son.
"Salpson!" he cried, "what are you doing here? Get out!"
"I heard you scream, father. I came to see-"
    "Get out!"
Salpson was frozen with fear as he watched Lord Chaos use a wavy styled dagger to birth Teivel. First, he slowly cut away at his left-side chest. Starting at the collarbone and working his way to the nipple, Lord Chaos tore a piece of blood, muscle and flesh off. Then, he placed the piece into a bowl of liquid. He chanted for two days without stop and then ate the mixture. On the fourth day after drinking, Sapson walked in. He screamed as his chest carved open. The ribs spread apart and his black hearts spewed blood as a baby demon hit the floor. The baby did not cry, it did not move. It merely sat there and looked up at Lord Chaos. It then fell asleep immediately. Lord Chaos fell into a sleep-like state for eight days. In those eight days, the Teivel had cacooned and emerged as a fully developed demon. He was, however, much weaker than expected. The connection between Lord Chaos and Teivel was apparent because if Teivel was hurtm Lord Chaos was hurt. When Lord Chaos became stronger, Teivel became stronger. Lord Chaos had to ensure Teivel was safe, he knew that this bond had to be kept safe, so he improsined Teivel to the Black Citadel for over five hundred years. Once Carnage made the deal, Lord Chaos felt safe knowing Teivel was protected. Salpson knew of the bond, but he hardly cared for Teivel. Favoured. Trusted. Admired. He deeply hated him but knew what punishment awaited him if he killed Teivel. Lord Chaos would not be killed, but it would infuriate him.

The Undead Imp flattered carelessly into another large opening in the pyramid- though it was no where near as large as the room with the chains. The sound of his reverberating wings clattered through the pyramid and caught the attention of the infiltrator, who, as the Undead Imp could tell, was no more than a human female.
Interesting... The Undead Imp stared on with its head tilted. It landed behind a corner, and concealed itself from the human's sight. Resting on the infiltrator was yet another human female, only this one looked far younger in age. They both shared a common feature (besides their being disgusting humans) and that was their blue hair. The younger girl who, at this point, the Undead Imp assumed was the prisoner, was unconscious. She seemed to be suffering from fatigue, and from the condition of her clothes and appearance, the Imp reasoned that she had been imprisoned for longer than she could handle.
The older human woman's eyes scanned the area desperately. The Imp reasoned that she knew she could not handle a confrontation with an enemy now, so she was on high alert. Was this seriously the woman who used a spear and water magic? Perhaps... or perhaps not. From the looks of it, it seemed highly probable.
"You know, Lord Lianus did not want to create me," something spoke. The Imp pressed itself harder against the crease in the wall and watched from the shadows. It watched with its glinting eyes as a figure with a human body concealed in a black hood approached the two female humans. From the looks of it, the figure was a male: but was it human? "He wished to save his power for the true fight in the future. But you threaten our victory by taking away what is rightfully his," it continued as it approached the two females.
The Imp watched savagely from the corner, absorbing every speck of detail. "You're not going to take my daughter." the older female human spoke firmly. Daughter, huh? That explained much, including why a female human would go through all of the trouble of infiltrating this enormous pyramid.
"She will be the dawn of a new era, human," the concealed male spoke without listening to the woman's words, "She will save us all and give us a new day. And you will hand her to me now." To the Imp's surprise, the figure then summoned a sword that glowed a bright blue into his hands. The aura emanating from the figure was different than that of the female humans, or even a human. What exactly was the figure?
As the Imp continued watching, he sensed other figures nearby. At the other side of the chamber, too far for the human eye to notice, were a group of male humans. The hooded man and female human did not seem to notice them yet, but they had caught the Imp's attention. With its pricked ears, it could hear the distant echoes of the human's voices.
"Nick, grab Dawn and meet up with Alpha-Bravo. Go," a muffled yet powerful voice ensued. Imps were different than regular demons. Though they had no physical strength, they could use a minimum amount of brute force as an act of self-defense. Their real skills lay in spying and reconnaissance. One of the most common abilities of an Imp is its ability to zoom its vision. Similar to how humans used binoculars, the Imp could focus its vision and zoom in on a distance. The Undead Imp used this power to zoom in on the human males, who were a fair distance away. He began to observe the man who had spoken: completely ignoring the other man who went by 'Nick' who was now rushing to rescue the two females. Before he could capture a good glimpse though, the Undead Imp felt its essence, soul, and body being ripped and forced into an inter-dimensional rift... it was being summoned.

General Drake took his shadow form and began coiling along the ground. His subordinate Fal would be on his way towards Gran Pulse. As for the other Generals, they were each preforming a reconnaissance of their own. Though they, for the most part, were bloodthirsty brutes, the Ten Generals had a fair amount of curiosity, and before invading any planet preformed a strict recon of the entire world. It was not only out of respect for the world they were about to destroy, it was also out of their overpowering urge to know all of the universe's secrets. Generally, they would report back to Lord Chaos the nature of the world after they had killed the Sentinel, and most of the time, Lord Chaos enjoyed hearing what made the world unique in comparison to the other worlds he'd destroyed.
It also helped to know exactly how many enemies they would be up against, and what the current status of the local population was. From the looks of things, the entire world was practically dead. According to their sources, this plague had something to do with the thick red smog that covered the entire planet. If that was the case, why could entities like Gran Pulse continue to exist? Were there any others that managed to survive the smog? That was Drake's current task: to discover if any other life forms other than the legendary entities existed.
After spreading out into an army of shadows and exploring the world, the Shadow General found only a couple areas of interest. The first, of course, was the pyramid. There were still readings of life forms there. The second was a nearby city where some species of plants and animals somehow continued to strive through life. The third, however, was the one that the Shadow General pursued.
Almost exactly on the opposite side of the world from the pyramid was a large facility covered with enormous metal walls and reinforced gates. Whatever this thing was, it was most likely that the surviving local population was within. Contracting the rest of his shadow army and retaking a substance-based form, the Shadow General approached the gate carefully. Currently, he was not sensing any readings of life. However, it was possible that there was a barrier around the metal walls that made him sense this.
The beauty of shadow magic was that he could condense himself and become a complete shadow in the ground. Once in this form, he could climb walls, slip through cracks, stalk his opponents, or do anything else he seemed fit. Currently, Drake decided to slip through the small space between the metallic gate and the brown dead rocks of the ground. Once inside, Drake decided to continue using this form, despite how it took away his ability to fight. However, he would not need to fight so long as he was in this form. While being a shadow, he was virtually unkillable. After all, how are you supposed to kill a shadow?
The facility was simple enough, to the Shadow General's surprise. At the middle of the complex was a fair large building which was, like the gates and walls, reinforced and created with metal. Ignoring the large building, there were three smaller metallic huts: each covered with florescent lights that lit up the entire facility, even in the current midst of the night.
As always, the local population was afraid of the dark. It was too early to assume humans inhabited this planet, but things seemed to be looking that way. Even within the depths of the complex, however, Drake still couldn't spot a single life form. It was odd: was this area also completely dead? A memoir of a past when the local population thrived?
Drake recoiled near the lights, where the shadows would be enough to support his existence. The beauty of the light was that it created shadows. With that darkness, created from the light itself, Drake was unstoppable. The Shadow General waited for almost half an hour in the depths of the shadows. Still no life was seen. Perhaps there really was nothing here-
"Did you hear?" a voice interrupted Drake's thoughts. Two human males were strolling out, they had came out of one of the metallic huts. So... humans inhabited this planet as well.
"Here what?" the second man asked. He was relatively shorter, but was also bulkier. The two men seemed to be fairly fit. It was obvious that they were soldiers of some sort. Something told Drake, however, that there hand-to-hand combat, and war-combat lacked. They looked like something different: a type of soldier the demons had never fought before.
"Wolf-Dawn is launching another assault on The Conquistador's pyramid."
"What?! Are they crazy? After the results of their first assault, you'd think they'd shut up and accept life on this new planet. Don't they realize that their endeveaurs endanger the rest of us humans who want to live a peaceful, normal life?"
Unfortunately, that is no longer an option for you... Drake thought to himself. When the two soldiers began to enter another metallic hut, the Shadow General was prepared. He slipped after them, and much to his happiness, there were also lights and shadows. He could continue to support his shadow-form. Thank goodness humans are terrified of the dark.
"Apparently, a girl was kidnapped and was being held prisoner, so Wolf-Dawn launched a rescue mission."
"Oh, is that the case? What would The Conquistador want with a female girl?"
Much to the Shadow General's surprise, the metallic hut seemed like a normal room. There were chairs, books, and lamps. No signs of weapons or any other threat. Was the local population seriously this handicapped?
One of the two men flipped a switch on a nearby pedestal, and a small tunnel opened beneath the rug. They descended into the lit cavern, and the Shadow General smirked. That's what I was expecting...
The demon general slipped into the lit cavern, supported by the shadows of the two men as they descended down the ladder in the lit tunnel.
After they reached the ground, Drake decided to remain in the shadow of the smaller human. The cavern below was enormous. There were rows and rows of bright lights that lit the entire tunnel. Unlike the surface, there was no red smog, but the effects of the toxin could be seen even beneath the ground, where the soil had turned a pale gray and died. The men continued down a large pathway until they reached a metal gate. Two human soldiers stood by and verified the identity of the two men. After which they were allowed in, Drake following behind in the man's shadow.
Within the chamber though, Drake found much to his surprise a plethora of humans continuing to exist underground. They seemed to be suffering from malnutrition and were unexpectedly feeble, but they had managed to survive underground. The majority of the possibly 200 humans underground were woman and children, but there were also the occasional male men who, unlike the woman and children, seemed well fed and powerful.
What's the meaning of this? Why are the men bulky and strong and the woman and children barely able to stand? There was one last thing the Shadow General needed to confirm before returning to the other generals... and he had a feeling the two men whose shadow he was in were leading him towards it.
He had stopped listening to their conversation the moment they had gone underground, but now that he was waiting for something again, bits and pieces of their words surfaced in his mind again.
"At least the Muerta are all dead. That's about the only thing we can thank The Conquistador for. The last of the powerful Muertas died out in Mysidia's ruins."
"True... but that's because the remaining Muerta were absorbed by The Conquistador so he could get stronger power. According to what I heard, The Conquistador was paranoid and thought a demon army from space was going to attack and destroy the world."
The other man let out a heavy sigh, "Why are the strongest men always the most insane?"
The two finally entered a passageway that was recent. They continued down the path until they finally emerged in an enormous hall. All of this is underground? Drake thought, impressed at the local population's will to survive. Within the enormous hall, at the other side of the room, were large machines the likes of which the Shadow General had never seen before.
What... are those? Drake though in shock. They appeared to be almost like giant robots. Within the giant underground hall, a handful of robots were fighting against each other. They seemed to be piloted by.... the humans.
Drake detached himself from the man's shadows and entered the shadow of one of the robots. He climbed onto it as a shadow and began to observe. After finalizing his analysis, he confirmed what he wanted to know and detached himself from the robot.
After which he slithered back through the hall, back to the underground gates, up the ladder, through the metallic hut, out of the facility, and back towards the pyramid.
His job was done, now to report back to the others.

Fal watched, invisible to Gran Pulse, in shock as the Giant Golem stirred its hands around and breathed out life to the rocks he had picked up from the ground. The rocks in turn grew arms and legs and then would stand, prepared for a battle.
The method seemed simple enough. Gran Pulse would scoop a piece of the ground, mash it in its hands, then breath onto it and give it life. The rock would then develop and grow arms, legs, and other appendages, then would stand next to the other rocks.
Is he... creating an army?! Fal watched in shock. The miniature-Gran Pulses seemed to be adequately powerful. Though the handful of generals on the planet could easily take out the army, it would be a battle that surpassed Earth's battle by far.
From what Fal counted, there were 132 miniature rock golems now in existence. Gran Pulse didn't seem to be taking a break, either. He continued creating: 133, 134, 135, 136, 137... if the generals didn't attack soon, there'd be a fair force of 500 Rock golems they'd have to overcome... and that's assuming the local population didn't have any forces of their own.
One of the miniature rock golems was the size of a tower. They were bulky, and large. Much like their creator, they seemed strong, and battle-ready. There would be a tough battle ahead of them. Fal watched for another hour, confirming that this was the only thing Pulse was doing, and after Pulse created the 176th Golem, Fal was satisfied with his response and returned to report back to the Shadow General. After an hours journey back to the rendezvous point, he waited for the Shadow General to appear.
It took a couple of hours, and even though Fal had expected the Shadow General to appear earlier, it was no surprise that it had taken him this long. Drake had the task of searching the entire world for a valid local threat, and that definitely took time.
Three hours after his arrival, Fal spotted a Shadow coiling along the ground. The General was back.
Shadow General Drake materialized in front of him and turned to face his subordinate. "Well, what have you found?"
Fal lowered his head and bowed onto a knee. "Sir, I have confirmed that Gran Pulse is currently creating an army. Three hours ago, he created 176 miniature- Gran Pulses. I was by the titan's side for over an hour, and verified that every half an hour, it has the potential to create 25 miniature- Gran Pulses. By scooping a piece of the ground and breathing life to it, the rock materializes into a Gran Pulse and becomes battle-ready. The size of one Golem is about the size of a default tower. They are forces to be trifled with."
"I see...." the Shadow General murmured, stroking his chin with a finger, "That is very unfortunate. It looks like we wont have as easy of a battle as we had previously predicted. The local population is also fairly potent, and will put up an adequate battle."
"Sir, if I may, there is only half an hour until the Generals meet together again. Will you allow me to continue watching over Gran Pulse, in the hopes of finding a weakness in either the Rock Golems, or in the entity itself?"
The Shadow General nodded, "If that is what you wish. Meet me tomorrow morning at this location. You will submit your report to me then."
"Yes, sir." Fal disappeared, and the Shadow General turned and faced the stars.
"Looks like it's almost time..." Drake muttered.

"Very well. You have done good reporting this," the Necromantic General responded.
The Undead Imp lowered its head and the Necromantic General turned his head away. The Imp burst into a pack of bones again, and with a swift spell, the bones stored themselves in a bag once again, and Nix slipped the bag back into one of his many pockets.
Unfortunately, the only source of information Nix could provide was the Imp's report. All of the corpses that were reanimated by the Necromantic General proved to be as useless as the first human. It seemed that the ancestors of the local population were nothing but incompetent fools. At the very least, however, he had confirmed the existence of humans on this planet at one point in time. That was good enough.
Nix disappeared into an ash of decay, and reappeared near the General's rendezvous point. Fire General Ifrit, the Earth General, the Wind General, and the Shadow General Drake were already prepared and waiting. There was still three more minutes until the meeting that would determine their course of action. Fire General Ifrit, a majestic demon who much like his name, symbolized power in its purest form, stood high and mighty above the other generals. It was no secret that the Fire General was the second strongest demon in existence, the first being Lord Chaos.
"Make the preparations," the Fire General barked towards the Earth General.
The Earth General nodded in compliance, and with a swift move of a hand, created a small cave that would shelter them during their meeting. The other generals began to arrive, and they patiently waited within the cave.
9 out of the 10 Generals were present, but the Electric General was still missing. They had no doubt that Carnage was safe, but their fear was Ifrit's rising temper at the length of time it took for the Electric General to arrive.
After arriving almost two minutes late, Electric General Carnage entered the cave, and the 9 generals turned and regarded him. Ifrit glared at Carnage and spoke "Now, we can begin."
"Before we do" Nix interrupted, "what are we going to do about that golem?" Nix had been contemplating the power of Gran Pulse since his arrival on Magica. If Mother Nature had managed to kill the Wind General Itachi with a clap of her fingers, and Gran Pulse was larger than Mother Nature, then they had a fair battle ahead of them.
"Yes, we'll get to that," Ninurta said calmly.
"Now, we'll start with the full analysis and then get to the plan that we've played out," Drake spoke.
Ifrit turned his head around in annoyance... he did not like being interrupted. Nonetheless, he continued, "From what I can tell, this place had been in its current state for at least fifteen years.
According to their history, there are many sentinels here. But only one maintains this planet. We will have to be cautious while fighting and keep an eye out for any others. The pyramid that stands tall points in no particular direction and there is no sign of a domestic dominant life. The sun's light is weak and it shaking. An impulsion is probable. The records I found also suggest that there are...creatures that were created through there own efforts. Humans lived here and prospered well. Amazingly, these creatures that they created are actually weapons. I do not know how they look or if they still exist, but if we find them they might prove useful," Carnage paused, closing his eyes and then reopening them, focused on Drake. "Drake, as the most thorough investigator, what have you found?"
The Shadow General nodded in compliance and turned his head, "I've confirmed the existence of both a local population, and a threat. On the other side of the planet rests a facility where the remaining human population fled and currently live underground. I have confirmed myself that their population continues to exist underground, and unlike the other planets we've destroyed, they have grown technologically dominant. They can maneuver giant mechanic robots that seem to be fairly potent. Though I do not have an exact number, there were almost 200 humans underground including women and children, and almost 50 machines. In addition, Gran Pulse has been preparing for the future battles by creating an army of Rock Golems that take the form of miniature-Gran Pulses. Currently, it is likely that there are over 175 Golems, with each being the size of a tower. Combined with Gran Pulse's strength and the human factor, there is actually a fair battle ahead of us."
Ifrit regarded this with mild amusement, "We have not yet seen Lindzei, who is supposedly as large as Gran Pulse. We must take into account that that snake will also appear on the battlefield with an army of its own. As you all know, my main objective during these times is locating the path to the Sentinel Sanctuary, where, on this planet, the Sentinel Muin will reside. I spent the past hours searching for it, and came up with a number of possible locations, however, I have not confirmed any location yet. I will not participate in the coming battles, and will instead invest my time locating the Sanctuary."
The Generals nodded in response. The battle, it seemed, was up to them.
"As for my report," the Necromantic General interceded, "I've discovered the presence of magic-powered humans. One such human was a woman within the pyramid, who had the power to use water. According to my sources, the magic-powered human saved her daughter, who must also have magical abilities, but was intercepted by a local threat: someone who wanted to use the daughter's powers. A group of soldiers appeared shortly after and fought the man, but I have no official report for the outcome of the battle."
"It must be Wolf-Dawn, then," Drake added. The Generals looked at him and he continued, "According to my discoveries, a group of human soldiers called Wolf-Dawn has attacked the pyramid twice. The first must have been a number of years ago, before the plague that led to humanity's downfall, and the second was most likely those group of soldiers in Nix's information. I believe Wolf-Dawn holds 0% threat to us, however, because though they are elite trained soldiers (according to what I've heard) they have no magical abilities of any kind, and rely on weapons and hand-to-hand combat... both of which are ineffective against us. Wolf-Dawn may have held up very well against the demonic footsoldiers, but against the generals, they will have little threat to us. Rather, we should allocate our energy to defeating Gran Pulse, his golems, and the humans who have fled underground. They are the real threats."
The Sealing General rose his head and spoke aloud, "During the course of my investigation, I confirmed Iridi Lianus' presence at the top of the pyramids. His power level is currently one that surpasses Gran Pulse and his Rock Golem army, he will be a potent foe himself. He has over 100,000 souls sealed within him, from what I sensed with my sealing abilities, and each soul has a power ranging from the equivalent to a demon footsoldier to one of our subordinates."
The Dark General continued, "Apparently, Iridi Lianus tried to raise his own army to counter the demonic forces. These human-demon creatures were called Muerta." Ifrit's eyes turned towards the Dark General, and he regarded him heavily. "Iridi Lianus himself is what we've confirmed to be a Gran Muerta. He has a high power level now, but he can go even higher by releasing his abilities."
"So that's not even his limit, huh... he's a strong opponent," the Ice General interjected. "I spent my time in the cold tundras of the north and found a mountain range that seemed to have once been Gran Pulse's home. Iridi Lianus must have taken him from there. I've confirmed that there are no other presences in the northern mountain range. Gran Pulse was the only legendary entity of the north."
"During my time, I discovered various ruins of cities. I've made sure to take a mental note down of each city's location. Mysidia, Balard, and what not. Most of these cities are now completely ruins, but I sense great power in some cities. My guess is that there are many dead Muertas within these cities that we can use to our advantage..." she paused and looked at Nix, who had his eyes closed but nodded.
"On that note," Drake interrupted, "There was an area called Mysidia that had, according to my sources, powerful Muertas. If you know the location of that city, it would be wise to inform Nix: using his necromancy abilities, we can make an army out of Lianus' own soldiers. An undying army of Muertas should be able to topple over anything Gran Pulse, the humans, Lindzei, or Lianus himself, throws at us."
"I guess that just leaves my report," The Earth General spoke, "I've confirmed the presence of the legendary Etro deep underground."
The Generals stopped speaking and turned in shock. "Though she is not as powerful as Gran Pulse, it seems she has a potent army of her own... guardians, if you will. They seem to have the ability to use magic, and are fairly powerful as well. I didn't risk going underground enough for them to spot me. However, using my ability to sense anything that touches the ground, I was able to determine that they hold a similar threat-level to the humans and Golems."
"If that is all of the reports," Fire General Ifrit interjected, "Then we shall now begin our battle strategy. It would be a wise course of action to leave the humans as they are. Currently, there are 6 armies on this world, and 6 different parties we need to take account of. The first is Iridi Lianus, he makes up an army by himself. It would be wise to leave him as he is and confront him last, I think we may need all of our abilities to take him on. The second is Gran Pulse and his Rock Golems. This is most likely the army we need to deal with first. The third is Lindzei, and the potential army he has, along with Buniberzei, who may be near his side. The fourth is the divine Etro with her guardians, who is currently lodged underground. We can not fight them until they surface, so we must wait. The fifth are the humans, who seem to be currently in a peaceful status. If we avoid attacking them now, they will avoid attacking us. They can not afford casualties, and neither can we. The sixth party is us, the demonic empire."
The Generals nodded, absorbed into every syllable muttered by Ifrit. After all, they needed to know exactly what each person would have to do.
"To begin: Nix, you will raise an army of our own. Find Mysidia's ruins location and raise an army of Undying Muerta to serve us. If you have the capabilities, continue rising an army, even if it must be the humans who died out. The greater our numbers, the greater we will be.
"Drake, your ability will be necessary with fighting the Rock Golems. Your power to create an army of shadows will help buy us time until the Muerta army is raised. You will be on the front lines against Pulse's army.
"Carnage, you are to take Tievel and participate in the battle against Gran Pulse as well. Make sure you protect him with your life.
"Wind General, you are to provide protection for Nix as he raises an army. His incantations leave him vulnerable, and he may be attacked. If we loose Nix, we loose our undead army. We can not allow that to happen.
"Earth General, you must continue monitoring Etro's movements. You are not to participate in any battles. Ensure that Etro remains where she is with her guardians. If she makes a move, you are to alert me immediately.
"Sealing General, you also have an important job. You must ensure Iridi Lianus does not enter the battlefield prematurely. Continue monitoring him at his pyramid, and make sure he has not made any battle preparations.
"Water and Ice General, you two shall also intercept Gran Pulse on the battlefield. If Gran Pulse's army is truly made of rocks, then your abilities should prove useful against them. The two of you are to assist Carnage and also ensure Tievel remains alive.
"Finally, Dark General, you are to monitor the humans from afar. If you can, continue to preform reconnaissance and see if you can find out more about the unknown human variable. How powerful are their robots? Are they truly a threat? Make sure not to engage in a battle. If their power is greater than we expected, we will not save you.
"As I previously stated, I will continue on my search for the Sentinel Sanctuary. Once it is located, I will summon Lord Chaos to this world. Make sure you clear up the path for him, so that he does not have to bother himself with these wimpy entities and armies. We will meet up here again in a week's time. Hopefully by then, the situation will have changed in our favor. Until then, you are all dismissed."

And with that, the Generals set out towards their respective goals, preparing for the long battle ahead of them.

The man struggled to keep his sword in place. For a mother, this mortal was strong. Maybe it was true what they said about mothers being tougher than they look.
He quickly stretched his foot into Vaena's stomach and caused her to stumble back a few steps. The man raised his sword and quickly slashed down, but with great reflex, Vaena was able to block with her spear and counter with a swift blow to the side.
The man cried and took a few steps back. This wasn't normal. She was just a human. Why was a human woman THIS strong?
"Like I said, you're not going to take my daughter." Vaena hissed, getting into stance
"Woman, this child is not yours and will never belong to you. She belongs to Lianus." he responded before slashing his saber again
Vaena blocked and quickly kicked him in the stomach, forcing him back "You can tell Lianus he won't be getting my daughter anytime soon."
"Mortal, I will not ask again. The girl. Now." the man demanded

Jason looked towards Nick, who was already carrying Dawn out of the chamber and gave him a thumbs up. He was on his way out of here. The Alpha-Bravo joint team wasn't too far away.
Neither of the combatants, oddly enough, had noticed both of the Wolf-Dawn soldiers coming in and taking the unconscious girl out.
Just the way Wolf-Dawn worked: Nothing less than perfection was accepted.
Well, save for the majority of the human population volunteering in a secret mission under Lianus's nose.
Robots. As crazy as that sounded, it was their only option against the madman.
Jason extended his hand out and summoned a huge metallic object. Well, the Avenger was more than just a large metallic object. It was a family sword passed down since Jason's great-grandfather.
Now, as usual, he had to play hero.
(Rebellion - The Devil May Cry Wiki - Devil May Cry 4, Devil May Cry 3, Devil May Cry 2, and more)

The man raised his sword, but then held it in a weird fashion. Right after, he started saying something quietly, as if whispering to himself. This woman was truly a pest. But he was just about done with pests. Slowly, he raised his head and stared at Vaena in the eyes. His eyes were now visible, but they were glowing with complete blood-redness.
Vaena took a step back, and another, and another, and another, and ano-
Her heart skipped a beat, and Vaena quickly turned around to see who it was. She was almost praying that it wasn't another servant of Lianus's. Instead, it was a man. A very familiar looking man. He was wearing a Wolf-Dawn military out-
    Dawn!
Vaena peeped her head over the side of the man to check on her daughter. Her heart suddenly fell. She was gone...
"Where is she?!" Vaena demanded "Where is my daughter?" this man's face was..... awkwardly familiar, as if she knew him.
"Don't worry, she's with Nick. But if you ever want to see her again, you should go follow him. He's not too far ahead." Jason replied, not sure if he meant that as a threat or a way to reassure the lady that her daughter was safe "Go. I'll deal with this punk."

    Vaena nodded and quickly left.
Jason gazed towards the man in the black hood. He didn't seem too dangerous. A few slashes here and there, possibly a stab and maybe even-
Almost immediately, Jason Sevchenko smashed down his sword on the ground. There was a loud clank and a few fist-sized rocks in the air accompanied by rubble.
"Check out the balls on you. Attacking a lady who was only trying to save her kid." Jason spoke calmly "Have some shame."
"Lianus created me without your pathetic human emotions. A lady, a girl, it might as well be a newborn child. Quite frankly, I don't give a damn." he readied another fireball to launch at the Wolf-Dawn soldier "You are also here to rescue the child, correct? Then I shall waste no time. I will follow your friend and take what Lianus deserves. Out of my way."
"Then I'm sorry, pal. You're not getting through." he pointed Avenger at the man's neck. It was a surprisingly long sword that was heavier than it looked. Carrying it with one hand in any position was nearly impossible for the normal human to do "I'm just not feeling it today."
"Then you leave me no choice human. You will die, as will the woman and the other soldier. And I will bring the girl to Lord Lianus." the fireball disappeared and the saber suddenly reappeared
"You have no idea who you just pissed off."

"Alpha-Bravo, this is Sargent Nick Saviro. I've got our objective in hand along with a civilian. I'm requesting immediate evac from the eastern entrance."
"Roger that, Sarge. We'll be there in 10 minutes, but we've spotted what appears to be a giant....man thing. We request that you and Captain Sevchenko move more quickly. That's all the time we have to spare before it notices us. We're not taking any chances." the pilot replied in Nick's ear
"Understood, we'll be there in 10." Nick spoke before signing off "Come on, we need to move faster." he ordered Vaena, going from a walk to a jogging run.
Vaena wanted to ask what Wolf-Dawn was doing here, and who the man from earlier was, but she had no time. She needed to catch up to the soldier and get out alive.

The Avenger stabbed the ground and tilted upward.
The mysterious hooded man stood in his own place and began breathing. He finally defeated this man. If that didn't kill the Wolf-Dawn soldier, he wasn't sure what was going to.
The entire room was completely full of lightning made out of fire. He literally made a gigantic firestorm.
And he wasn't there to reclaim his weapon and continue fighting. There wasn't a snowball's chance in hell that he survived.
"Nice job. There's just one little thing wrong with what you did. It didn't kill me." Jason spoke
The man quickly turned and glared at him "You are strong. But I will not give up because you won't die."
"Listen, you're burned clean" Jason raised his hands. His voice was confident "let's just call it a day, huh? No point in killing a dead man."
"I don't need your pity. I will get the girl, and you will die." he hissed, raising his sword one more time
    "Suit yourself." Jason replied
Just a second later, Jason fired a light blue beam from his hand and allowed it to hit the once-threatening figure. He smirked and then said "Shatter", letting the ice encompassed body explode into many small sparks of ice "Tell Lianus he's not getting my daughter." he spoke to the air. Jason walked towards Avenger, grabbed it from the metal hilt and continued walking. It was time to get out.

The moonless night faded as the sun returned with bolts of red across the sky. Carnage feared that his pupil was not ready for this task and that he would fail Lord Chaos. Now that it had been decided, he could not deny the task. Carnage walked slowly out of the cave and it crumbled and then formed sand once more. The generals each went their own way, but the Water General Euryale and the Ice General Abraxas followed Electric General Carnage. Carnage laughed below his breath as he kept an eye behind himself. He shot his body with an overwhelming current that caused his peripheral vision to sharpen, his heart rate increase, his muscles swell and his relfex response time sharper. He took his first step and ran off at supernatural speed. It seemed almost impossible that the other two generals could follow, however, they too were in control of an element. Euryale sank into the sea and rose to the marsh where Salpson and Teivel were waiting, while Abraxas flew on a wave of ice that caused easy tranport. Carnage made it to the house at the same time as Euryale and he waited as Carnage marched to the door to fetch his leuitenants. Inside, Teivel stood over a pile of black matter from Endtime and casting some sort of ritual. Salpson stood in one corner eyeing the procedure, trapped by his fear of his brother's new power.
Salpson stood by the window as he awaited his masters return. Teivel was in the middle of the two-roomed lodging, sitting with his legs folded and his swords on his lap and in front of him. He grew more and more anxious for his turn to prove himself useful. Salpson remembered how he had been a disgrace until the day Lord Chaos gave Teivel some of his blood after the Earth invasion. The blood made him stronger and unlocked a second form. Once he mastered, thanks to Carnage, he began growing more and more confident. However, if he was to be respected, truly respected, he had to fight well in this, his second war. He was sick of people fearing him only for the bond he shared with Chaos. Now he began to reach for his sword, he leaned on it and pushed himself up. He walked over to Salpson and began his request. "Salpson, I need you to help me release the Master Seal."
"Ironic that Lord Chaos doesn't find you worthy enough to leave the seal open" Salpson remarked.
"But he has given me this oppotunity to buy my power."
    "Fine, let us begin."
Salpson got up and ramed the first sword, Yazuki, into his arm because it needed demonic blood to connect to Endtime. The second, Kami, he whispered to and it began to beat with a rythmatic song. The song controlled the heart syncrinisation between Teivel and the summoned. The sword began to surge with power as they were drawn towards Teivel. A massive energy radiated and flung Salpson into a corner. He never saw this before, but it amazed him and reminded him of Lord Chaos. Fear began to rise within him and he stood there for the time being. A small creak was heard by the door and Carnage enetered.

On the empty crystal plains of the outer planet, a giant snake coiled and slithered, hissing and shaping together pieces of the diamond crystal with its abilities. Slither after slither, a new monstrous snake would appear. Currently, 384 diamond snakes were created. There was really no other choice: the entire planet was now covered in the crystallized diamond substance, there was nothing else the entity Lindzei could make his army from. It didn't bother him, though. After 16 more snakes, his army would be prepared. The dawn of a new era was approaching. The humans were relatively vanquished from the world below. All creations were now weak, and could easily be destroyed. The only threat now, as far as Lindzei could see from his throne in the outer world, was the giant Gran Pulse. Lindzei watched with his coiled eyes the mighty Golem create an army of its own. Fortunately for Lindzei, he had been granted the ability to make powerful warriors from Buniberzei. The diamond-snakes would now be powerful enough to take out Gran Pulse regardless. Buniberzei had only given Gran Pulse the ability to create stable inhabitants. In other words, Gran Pulse's army would be relatively powerful in terms of survival... in terms of power, however, Lindzei had the advantage. With a surprise attack, Lindzei could emerge victorious.
After the 400th snake was created, Lindzei curled its sharp head back and began to move its enormous body. The time to attack was approaching. However, before he could launch his assault on the world below, he'd have to awaken Buniberzei and give him enough time to power his energy. Utilizing his viper army, Lindzei would strike from the heavens and annihilate any opposition to Bunibzerzei. After that, they'd find him his proper throne on the world below, and after a millennium of abiding their time, they would claim their place as the ruler of the world below. Muin, Etro, Pulse, the humans... even the demonic empire, if the human's prediction were true: would all be annihilated. Nothing would withstand Lindzei, nothing would withstand his diamond vipers: Nothing would withstand Buniberzei.
Lindzei slithered an order to the diamond snakes to prepare to launch down to the world below, and as his army prepared, Lindzei coiled into the surface below. With his massive body, it was difficult to maneuver to the passages leading to the Pseudo-Sentinel Sanctuary, but after a couple of minutes of stirring and bursts of effort, the enormous snake found itself in the magnificent chamber of the Sentinel Buniberzei.
The Sentinel was asleep on a throne, its hand supporting its lower right cheek as its back was curved into an arch. It would not be difficult to stir the Sentinel from its slumber. Lindzei recalled Buniberzei's final words to him about awakening the mighty Sentinel when the time was right. As it so happened, the time was now.
Lindzei slithered towards the mighty throne and coiled up to its Master's ears. Though the snake was enormous, relatively the size of Gran Pulse; Buniberzei was yet larger still. Luckily, Buniberzei had not fallen by the attack of the humans aeons ago. All that had happened was the world had frozen over. Had it actually demolished, Buniberzei would not currently be alive.
"Master," Lindzei chimed silently in Buniberzei's left ear, "The time has arrived. I have prepared an army to defeat the inhabitants of the world below. I will get our revenge against Gran Pulse for abandoning us for the Sentinel Muin, and I will strike and ensure our success."
Buniberzei stirred slightly, still deep within his slumber. Perhaps there was something else Lindzei would need to do to awaken the mighty entity?
"My lord, if you can hear me, now is the time you have requested I awaken you at. The mighty call of war is looming near, and our army is prepared to strike from the skies and destroy the Sentinel Muin. Your throne awaits you, sire."
Still, the mighty entity did not awaken. This slumber, as Lindzei had predicted, was legendary as well. Normal methods would not awaken the mighty Sentinel. It would have to exert another method. The snake began to contrive a plan to awaken the Sentinel, but, unfortunately, it would take time. At the very least, the snake knew that it would not be able to strike during the night as it suspected. If this plan to awaken the Sentinel worked, however, he could launch a surprise attack by sunrise.
Kami sat silently on the three seated couch in the small living room. It was the only comfortable furniture in the entire house, save for the beds. Dusk had already retired to his bed and, according to what Kami could currently sense, was heavy in slumber. At this moment, everything was fine. Including his main body that was now at the small house, there were almost seven pieces of his soul cast either into the bodies of others, or into clones he had created for various purposes.
After Lianus had attempted to kill him, Kami had slipped into Iridi's inner sanctum and released the lock that was cast to limit his power by the Domination. Before leaving his body, Kami had slipped out of Lianus' inner sanctum and partitioned a portion of his soul into the man he considered his sibling. It was the very least he could do. If Iridi were ever in trouble, he could use the portion of that soul as a waygate to appear at his side. It would mean blowing his cover that he was dead, but Kami was still unsure if he was ready to move on from the man he considered his best friend.
Of course, the first thing Kami had done after retrieving Dusk was set up a place where the two of them could continue to live in tranquility, despite the occurences that would happen in the world. Kami was dedicated to allowing Dusk to live a life of happiness: without the terrors of war, and without the horror of the current condition of the world. To ensure Dusk's happiness, he left his main body, the piece that contained the largest amount of his soul, so that he could always be there for the child he practically considered his son.
Faith, Illian, and Dracul had forgiven him. He had felt relieved much at that time. A heavy burden lifted off of his shoulder, but the weight of destruction, the ultimate price for salvation against the demons... the path that Kami chose over peace still troubled him greatly. Deep sorrow was still suppressed within his heart. Even if the entire world had forgiven him for his sins, the weight was there to stay. There was nothing he could do but unsure the continuation of the human race.
At that time, Kami had decided to remain by Dusk's side... but just as much as Dusk needed him, the humans also needed him. Lianus had gone insane with the amount of Muertas that suddenly composed him. The portion of his soul that was linked within Lianus showed Kami just how crazy Lianus had become... Lianus was no longer the man he once knew. Hundreds of thousands of memories, spirits, and thoughts now merged into one ultimate being. The irony was that even Kami's soul was a part of the mixture. Kami knew that Lianus could still be saved, but after Lianus had shed him off like a dead organ, Kami had decided to move on and embrace the future. The pessimistic attitude that encompassed him when he was around Lianus had transformed into optimism. There was still hope for the world: no matter how small.
So it was for that reason that Kami had created two other clones while he was busy raising Dusk. With his elite sensory abilities, Kami prepared to hunt down every surviving human and unite them in an area as far away from the pyramid as possible.
The hunt was relatively simple. There were so few life sources on the planet that finding the three hundred and something humans wasn't difficult. Using his teleportation abilities, he was able to bring them all together. He, of course, did not reveal himself to the humans. He would use a gas that would make them go unconscious them take them back to a facility he had constructed. At that time, it was just an average sized metallic tower. There were plenty of rooms, and plenty of supplies. Two clones proved to be inefficient, so Kami had created a handful of other clones and made them focus on different tasks. After utilizing Arcane Magic to create the tower, he reasserted his attempts towards providing enough supplies to last the surviving human population a century. Of course, he had created foods that would not spoil, and separated them into rations. It was a lot of work, it had taken his clones a year to finalize everything. But the results were amazing. After he had successfully brought all of the lost humans, the ones who had either had an immunity to the toxin, or the one who had somehow survived by fleeing into sealed buildings, he ensured the safety of the future human population by preparing to remove portions of the toxin from the camp. He cleaned out the tower first, and began even trying to work on the world.
However, to Kami's great distress, the world was in a critical condition. The toxin was there to stay. He had managed to, in one long painful night, remove the toxin from around the human camp. The next day the toxin had just returned. There was no stopping the chemicals from spreading. So Kami decided to do things differently. He immunized every human at the camp and prepared to finalize the preparations for humanity's survival.
By the time every surviving human became immune to the virus, and all of Kami's achievements accumulated, over four years had passed. The rations Kami had created proved to be incredibly useful. He no longer needed to focus on providing food, and instead focused on sharpening the defenses of the complex. At this point in time, the humans did not fully know of Kami's existence. They knew a force had united them, but they mistook it for divine intervention rather than from a human. Kami used this to his advantage and regrouped all the scattered clones into two clones yet again. He had the two clones shape shift into completely different looking men, and had them separate. Though both clones wore blindfolds, the humans bought the story provided by both men that they were just survivors of the toxin.
One of the clones began focusing its efforts on providing stability in the complex: offering education on anatomy and infrastructure. Kami no longer had the freedom to exert his abilities and create things for the humans. He would have to teach them to be self-dependent. He taught them how to use the ground and spare chunks of metal still available in city ruins. The humans created a fortress by utilizing the metal, and soon gates were raised and metallic huts prepared for the workers. The clone that taught the humans so much assumed the role as a leader in the village. It oversaw all operations, and enlightened the humans how to use the available technology in the ruins to advance themselves.
Much to Kami's surprise, the humans had managed to manufacture their first weapon: a small robot based off of attaching arms and legs to a tank. It was unstable and broke down during testing, but Kami began to see a bright new future. Kami had never before considered using weapons such as robots. In his spare time, he created a third clone that left the complex and began engineering layouts for various robot forms. After completing a successful robot using available supplies (he did not want to use Arcana Magic to ensure that the necessary supplies the humans would need to create their own were available) he took his plan back to the engineers of the human complex, and mass production began soon.
Things were beginning to look great for the humans. Fortunately for Kami, they did not notice his second clone that integrated into the group and became a bystander. The main objective of this clone was to watch over the human progress in the event that anything happened. Kami knew that soon he would have to leave the humans to fend for themselves, and to do so would mean removing the leader. At the very least, he could continue ensuring their growth with the second clone.
Years passed and the humans continued fortifying themselves. The ration continued to last, and they decided to excavate underground, believing that underground they could have a much more comfortable life than in the metallic hut and tower above ground.
They finalized their presence and within time, they had mass produced over one hundred robots and had doubled their population. They spent much time educating children and teaching them how to properly fend for themselves in the new empty world. They became accustomed to seeing Gran Pulse in the distance, and walked naturally in the thick red smog.
As for Lianus, the only changed the portion of Kami's soul could sense was his falling grip on reality. Soon, he would be just as insane as Lord Chaos. Kami could not bring himself to stop what he had supported. Deep within him, he continued to believe that Lianus would be the mortal by which Lord Chaos would finally meet his demise. He continued to lie to himself, mainly out of the urge to justify all of his past actions.
Kami would not be able to continue living if he knew that everything he had done the past 74 years of his life... everything he had supported, all the terror he and Lianus had caused would result in nothing but Chaos' continued victories. For that reason, he continued lying to himself, believing Lianus had the ability to overcome Chaos and overcome the Domination and be the driving force that would free the universe from its dark past. Until then, Kami was absorbed with bringing humanity back to what he could.
And so, after 19 long years, Kami continued to support the humans: living among them. He was pleased with humanity's progress. The time would soon come when he could have to leave them, Kami knew that very well. For that reason, he prepared to choose a successor, someone who would carry on his legacy after he feigned the leader's death. Unfortunately, there was no one Kami could relatively see giving that position to in the current human forces.
It wasn't until a couple days ago that Kami finally sensed a presence he knew could lead the human forces to salvation.

It had been shortly before the demons made an appearance. Kami had been teaching Dusk about different applications of magic when he sensed three souls appear with magical prowess. It was a well known fact that the humans of this world were not able to embrace magic, and instead used cheap contractions and machinery to feign magical prowess. There had been once a man who could, though. The man who had diehardingly launched an attack on Lianus' pyramids months before humanity's downfall and the spread of the toxin. It was the same man that Kami could connect to the past he had absorbed when Faith was in his inner sanctum.
It was the legend: Christian Wolf. The other two, he reasoned, must have been allies of the former S.V.E.R. and Raven Corps soldier. He could sense them within Lianus' grand pyramid scheme thats only purpose was to conceal the path to the Sentinel Sanctuary. With them was a fourth energy, something with magical prowess. From this distance, Kami could not discern the fourth entity, but he had already confirmed something within him.
Accompanying Christian on yet his second launch against the pyramid were the same soldiers who were by his side in the first attack: the Wolf-Dawn operatives. Kami could recall their ferocity, and how they had managed to take a good chunk of Muertas out before Lianus had the chance to absorb their energies. If humanity were to survive on this planet, it would need both Wolf-Dawn and Christian Wolf.
Kami feared that Wolf-Dawn's skills would prove ineffective against the demons. However, he knew, and they most likely knew, that they would find a way. They would discover a method and turn the tide of battle for the humans.
And if not, if for some unfortunate reason, humanity was forced onto its heels and was about to be annihilated, Kami was taking proper measures to survive yet again. Kami prepared to leave and confront Christian multiple times, but every couple of seconds, he could feel the warrior's energy heavy in battle. It would not be wise to appear and distract the warrior. He would have to wait. First thing was first though. Now that Christian appeared, it was time to make the necessary arrangements back at humanity's fortress.
Of course, the clones would handle this, and because they had synchronized thoughts, he wouldn't need to stir from his position.

"Master Shiro!" one of the children yelled in happiness.
The leader of the current human fortress turned and regarded the young child with a smile. He lowered himself onto his knee and shook hands with the boy. The boy stared in awe at the radiant figure of the old master. Though Shiro was for the most part bald, he had a well built jaw and high cheekbones, and was rather large for someone as old as he was. The most distinguishable feature on Shiro's face were the blindfolds that covered his eyes.
None of the men really saw what was underneath the blindfolds, but word had it that Shiro was truly blind. He had a kind smile illuminating on his face at all times; a smile that seemed to glow even in the deepest darkness of the new world. His actions were kind, friendly, and welcoming. There was no favoritism or discrimination exerted by Master Shiro. All of the survivors loved him, and all of them would gladly give their life to protect him.
"Aren't you supposed to be back in your office in the metallic tower? What are you doing here?" asked the boy happily.
"I have an important announcement I must make," Shiro replied, patting the boy's head with his right hand and ruffling his hair. Despite the blindfolds, it always looked like Shrio was smiling right at you. Often, people forgot he was blind. "This announcement is way more important than staying at my office."
The boy smiled and reached for Shiro's hand. Shiro happily grappled his hand and the two walked forward. The boy's mom watched happily as her son and the human leader walked towards the middle of the room. Almost all of the survivors were in this giant hall anyways; if there was a place to make an announcement, it would be here.
"May I have everyone's attention, please?"
The boy had left Shiro's hand and retreated to his mom to watch happily from the sidelines. Everyone turned happily and regarded Shiro with the utmost respect. Mixed deep in the crowd was another man with a blindfold who, much like Shiro, was old. This man blended in with the crowd though, and prepared for the uproar that may occur. There was no saying what could happen with this announcement.
"As you all know, I've grown old in age, and I can barely wake up every morning," Shiro began. Mixed emotions and features were beginning to grow on the crowd's features. They could already sense that this speech wasn't going to be something they'd want to hear. "I've searched the past couple of years for a noble successor to carry on my legacy. Unfortunately, it has taken me far too long to reach a verdict, and I was afraid that I would pass away before I could name a rightful heir. However, I have finally made my decision, and starting today, I am resigning from my position and granting power to a new leader."
Protests began to arise and multiple gasps and annoyed mumbles began to spread around the crowd. As Kami had predicted, this wasn't going to go smoothly, nonetheless it was something that had to be done. "This leader is extremely well qualified, and I think you will all respect him just as much as you have respected me. He is honorable, courageous, and most of all, he puts the needs of others before himself. He is a man that can be trusted, a man that can be believed in, and a man that will bring humanity back to the condition it was once in. I confess to you all, I have been dying of a sickness lately."
Muffled cries and further gasps sounded in the crowd, some of the children were silently crying to themselves. They knew that whatever this was, it was the end to everything they knew. "I do beseech you all though to not look at this as an end: but as a beginning. I have already sent men to bring back the new leader, for he is currently not among us. He has a small army of his own that you may have heard of. He is none other than the leader of Wolf-Dawn."
Slight protests began to sound and others were beginning to shout. Kami completely understood their viewpoint. Many of the humans had not understood Lianus' motives for releasing the toxin, and so they used the most rational belief they had, and pinned it on Wolf-Dawn for attacking the pyramid and angering The Conquistador. To them, Wolf-Dawn and its leader were the reason humanity was at the brink of extinction... yet again, they knew so little. It would be of no use to tell them, though. Kami could not bring them to believe Christian Wolf was a hero: they'd have to see it for themselves.
"My friends, please... I have not asked for much from you all. Will you not allow an old man to rest in peace?" Unfortunately, to appease the protests and panic that was beginning to spread like wildfire, Kami had to play this card. On the sidelines, the copy of Kami that assumed the form of an old man with blindfolds prepared to put the room to temporary sleep. Before that, though, he had to try this.
The men who were shouting lowered their voices, and the protestors sat back down on the rough ground. None of them had noticed, but their Master Shiro was now old... none of them knew his exact aged, but he appeared to be almost a century old. Eventually, the voices muttered to whispers, and then ceased to exist.
There was only quiet. Everyone was listening. "I have grown too old to make rational decisions," Shiro continued, "All that would be achieved from keeping me as leader is potential danger. It is time for me to step down and live the rest of my life out in peace, watching you: my wonderful friends, build a life and home for yourself. I believe the leader I have chosen is worthy, and can bring much change. Trust my decision, friends. Trust me."
The men lowered their heads. How could they refuse? Shiro was the reason they were alive right now. He was the reason humanity's forces were gathered instead of being scattered. He was the reason for their continued existence. If this was his final will, they would honor it.
"Thank you. Hopefully we will be able to bring the new leader here before daybreak tomorrow. Until then, rest easily, my friends."
Shiro stepped down off of the small platform and began walking towards the exit of the underground tunnel. On his way, people thanked him and greeted him. He shook many hands. He smiled and embraced many friends. After all, Kami thought to himself, this is the last night Master Shiro will live. I may as well let them have their goodbyes.

Gran Pulse pieced together his 300th golem and heaved a heavy sigh of relief. That would be enough to bring Lindzei to his knees! He didn't care for the pesky human, or any demon that showed up either... it was just Lindzei. The one who had betrayed him and stolen his soil and creations to make a 'throne in the heavens'. Lindzei had insulted Pulse, saying his virtues and values were pathetic, and that there was no meaning in protecting one's creations, but rather there was meaning in honoring one's creator.
Pulse and Lindzei had many battles, though none of them were direct. Their armies and forces clashed many times, but there had never been a deciding battle. Now, finally after a millennium, the balance of power would be decided. With his army prepared, and his energy ready, he bode his time waiting for Lindzei's typical sneak attack. After all, the only strategy Lindzei ever concocted were sneak attacks and guerrilla tactics. Finally it would all come to an end.
After killing Lindzei, he would destroy the pyramid that imprisoned him, kill the human who foolishly thought he could have control over him: Gran Pulse! After that he would destroy humanity's last forces and reestablish the world.... reestablish his beautiful creations.
But could his creations really live on a world like this? He had to make them homes, he had to prepare supplies for them. They needed life, they needed nature, they needed a planet they could call home.
It's decided Pulse thought, after I kill humanity's forces, I'll take care of Etro and then take Muin's place. She is no longer fit to rule this world. I will bring the world back to life, I will make everything as it once was.
Satisfied with his plan, Pulse prepared for the long battles he knew would await him.

Necromantic General Nix landed softly on the dead soil of Mysidia City's ruins. By his side, Wind General Ninurta exchanged glances to her two subordinates and prepared an accurate plan to support the Necromantic General until he finished raising their army.
"How long will it take you?" asked Ninurta impatiently.
"An army this size, with this power level? Unfortunately, it will take me a fair while. At the very least, I will not be able to raise them until sunrise."
"Sunrise?!" Ninurta exclaimed, "That's over 7 hours away. Why does it take you so long?"
Nix glared at Ninurta and replied bitterly, "Would you rather have no army?"
"Just begin your incantations. The sooner you have the army raised, the sooner we can get off this godforsaken planet. I despise this world. There is no wind and there is no life. How can a demon enjoy destroying a planet this far gone?"
Nix ignored the Wind General's complaints and closed his eyes. He stood at the highest location, which was a large building that had split in two. He prepared his tablets and stones, setting them around the area where he would raise the dead. It would take an enormous amount of energy to sustain an army of this power level.
I'm so under-appreciated, Nix thought to himself. Bringing the dead to life as slaves is no easy task. That barbarian Ninurta wouldn't understand.
He may not have appeared it, but Nix had had his pride trampled on by Ninurta's comment. The one thing that should be avoided at all cost is injuring a demon- nonetheless a Demon General's- pride. Nix was still unsure if it would be wise to create a plan of revenge, but he believed the dying winds of this planet were torturing enough for the Wind General. The two Generals knew the exact reason why she was placed here: without her abilities being at their max, she was simply in the way of the battle.
It was the reason she was bitter, and it was why she was taking her anger out on Nix- something that itself is not a wise thing to do. Nonetheless, she had also had her pride injured by being ordered by the Commanding General Ifrit to take a simple job as a body guard. Ifrit had lied saying that Nix would be unable to defend himself while raising an army this size. All the Generals had known it. While summoning, Nix could easily defend himself by quickly summoning the warrior dust he kept with him at all times. The true reason Ninurta was here was so that she wouldn't be in Tievel, Carnage, Abraxas, and Euryale's way. Nix smiled at the feeling of torture the Wind General must have been going through.
With that sweet thought in his mind, Nix began reciting the incantations and prepared to raise the legion of Muerta spirits he could feel plastering the city.

Standing beneath the pyramid, Kami felt the freezing night air pierce his skin. There were no winds, of course, but with the sun dying, all that was left now was the day-round cold climates. There was a small platoon nearby with the two magic-human he had sensed earlier. One was young, and had a mixture of both the woman accompanying her and Christian Wolf's energies. A daughter, huh? Kami thought to himself. If that was the case, it would be even better to bring her back to humanity's fortress- just to ensure her safety. Judging from her energy flow, she seemed to be having a rough night.
Kami walked into the secret entrance of the pyramid. He could feel Christian Wolf's energy clashing with that of the fourth man from earlier. Christian, of course, had the absolute advantage in the battle. He was toying with his prey for no doubt kidnapping his daughter. Kami began to wonder what he would do to a man who kidnapped Dusk... it wouldn't be pretty.
Kami knew the entire layout of the pyramid like the back of his hand. He had been there during construction, and had come up with many of the maze tunnels. For that reason, it was easy for him to navigate and take shortcuts to the large opening where Christian and the other energy source were now fighting.
Upon closer inspection, the man had energy that somewhat resembled a Muerta. Kami tilted his head curiously.... he was certain Iridi Lianus had killed all of the Muerta and absorbed their energy: Kami himself had confirmed it. If that were the case, then this fool was simply a man who adored Iridi Lianus. No doubt he had somehow got his hands on an illegal copy of the Muerta and injected it into himself. From the feel of things, he hadn't even matured into his full abilities yet. These amateurs still had much to learn. Luckily for Kami, extremists like this man no longer existed.
As Kami got closer to the battle, he could hear the entire conversation, and sense the battle more in depth. Christian's energy was truly fabulous for a human. He would make a fine leader. Kami had no regrets.
"There's just one little thing wrong with what you did. It didn't kill me." the powerful voice of Christian Wolf spoke.
The immature Muerta turned and spat, "You are strong. But I will not give up because you won't die."
"Listen, you're burned clean" Christian replied, returning his weapon. "let's just call it a day, huh? No point in killing a dead man." Kami smiled. He had chosen the suitable leader after all. It was rare to find one who still had such compassion. If that compassion were allocated to serve the remaining human population, then there would be no doubt.... humanity could propser.
"I don't need your pity. I will get the girl, and you will die." he hissed, raising his sword one more time
Had it looked like that when Kami had allied himself with Lianus? Had he appeared that desperate to comply to every whim? It almost brought him shame, but at the same time, he could understand. Being almost directly below Lianus' energy, he felt an overpowering urge to return by his side. Lianus was his friend: he had abandoned him. No matter what Lianus had attempted, he should be by his side, helping him... But it mattered no longer to Kami. What Lianus is and what he had been were two completely different things now. Being this close to him confirmed it. The man he had known existed no longer. Would he even recognize Kami if he were to be near him again?
    Probably not.
"Suit yourself." Christian replied. Kami felt a beam of energy and felt the essence of the immature Muerta freeze over. Christian simply spoke, "Shatter", and the ice covered body exploded into millions of fragments.

"Tell Lianus he's not getting my daughter."
As Christian prepared to leave, Kami approached and spoke aloud, "He certainly shall not. I doubt Lianus even exists anymore. Whatever he is now is not the Lianus I served."
Christian turned and took out his large blade. Served? That would make the approaching figure before Christian an enemy. Kami felt Christian get ready in a battle stance. Should he fight the infamous Christian Wolf? It would be fun, no doubt, testing out the limits and abilities of his ice-nature... but there was no time. Kami felt the energy of the demons spread out: they were making their move, and humanity needed to be prepared.
"Sheathe your weapon, Christian Wolf," Kami spoke calmly as he continued walking towards the large figure of the soldier. "We do not have the time to be playing. Enemy forces are on the move."
Christian regarded him with impassive eyes. He seemed to be studying the figure of Kami: the blindfolds, the appearance, and of course, what sort of abilities he could posses. What Christian would see though, what all would see while Kami retained this form, was an old man with long white hair and no weapon. He would be wearing casual clothes and blindfolds. The old get-up Kami used to wear was now discarded, along with the rest of his sinful past.
Christian did not seem to fully trust Kami yet. "The name is Jason Sevenchko. Christian Wolf died. You must have me mistaken." Christian spoke suspiciously.
Kami stopped. Died? Christian Wolf died? Was... Christian doing the same thing Kami was doing to his old self- to Nero? The Nero once within him was fully dead. He no longer was that same submissive man who would bend to Lianus' every will. That was the man who was truly dead... Christian Wolf, however...
"What are you hiding from? Your past? Your future? Your life?" Kami asked as he walked forward, "Whatever you are hiding from: it will find you, I promise that. I can not pretend to know what you are thinking, but I will tell you what I am thinking, and who I am. Let us start with formal introductions."
Kami extended his hand, "My name is Kami. Just Kami. I do not have a last or middle name."
Christian stared suspiciously at the hand. This was either a true formal gesture, or a trap. Nonetheless, it would be rude to decline a man this old in age... a handshake seemed harmless enough.
Christian reached out his hand and shook Kami's firmly, "Good. That's a fine beginning," Kami muttered, "I come to you for a reason. Humanity needs a hero, someone who will lead the last forces to victory, or to survival. Failure. Extinction. Death. None of these are options. I know you have what it takes. You launched an attack against the pyramid not just once: but twice. Both to protect something you love. The first time, it was to protect your planet. The second time, this time, it was to protect your daughter."
Jason's features hardened. Kami could feel through the grip confirmation... the girl from within certainly was his daughter. Before removing their hands, Kami partitioned his soul and attached a piece to Christian Wolf. It would be wise to keep a close eye on him, in case he tried anything suicidal. Kami could not risk humanity's life at the hands of a pyromaniac. Christian would be unable to sense the soul, and it would serve no purpose more than acting as a way gate for Kami's inner sanctum, and give him the ability to read Christian's mind.
"Unbeknownst to most likely you and Iridi Lianus, humanity still has survivors. They are located in a fortress on the other side of the world. There they reside underground, waiting for a new leader to come to them. Their previous leader, a man named Master Shiro, died earlier today. Before dying, he told me personally that he wanted you to lead humanity's last forces. I believe in Shiro's decisions, and I believe you have what it takes. Walking here, I noticed many things. Your soldiers are dying from the toxin, you do not have the proper vaccination. You too are slowly suffering. At this rate, you and your men will be dead by the end of the week. Luckily for you all, there are still vaccines at humanity's fortress. You are also all poorly nourished. There is nothing to eat on this planet. There are no animals and there are no plants. There is a ration supply at the fortress that will last another century, and it will also have enough to feed you, your family, and your men. Even if you decide not to take the offer to become humanity's leader, I urge you to at least go take the vaccinations. Once the toxin is in your system, it will kill your nervous system at an exponential rate. The only solution is that vaccine. If you do not will it, at least save your child and spouse.
"Now, before we continue on with me explaining why you should take this position, and what threats it entails, do you have any questions that I can hopefully answer for you?"
Kami gave a kind smile and waited for Christian's response.

(OoC: 101, make Christian give his reply, then leave an opening for Kami in my next reply.)

Salpson was on the floor, drained of energy. Teivel stood in the middle of the room with two swords in his hands. Silver armor shined brightly on him and his eyes went to a cold black oblivion. There was a moment of silence as the three generals entered. Abraxas and Euryale were surprised by the increase in power of this, the once feable, Teivel. Carnage stood calmly and gave out orders.
"Teivel, wait outside. Salpson get up. You're going to be watching Wind General Ninurta."
"And why is it that he needs to be doing that Electric General Carnage?" Abraxas asked rhetorically.
"Watch your place!" Carnage barked back.
Euryale interceded. The tension hung in the air for a few minutes and ended when Carnage laughed and walked out. Outside, the lights were coming and it waved the war flag. Carnage told Abraxas and Euryale to prepare six hundred metres from Gran Pulse and wait for him. The brothers left striding with pride, not liking to take orders from a half-breed general. "Teivel, you realise that this will probably be the test Lord Chaos spoke of" Carnage said with some concern. "Yes, I do. It doesn't matter, I'll end it quickly."
"Teivel, listen to me when I tell you this, you have to follow the plan exactly as I tell it to you. This sentinal is bigger than Mother Nature, it won't be easy. Abraxas and Euryale will distract the smaller golems it's created. At that time, I will enter the battle and attack Gran Pulse. Once I have his attention and expose his insides, you must take the opportunity and suck his soul into Yazuki."
"And by doing this it will prove that I am a coward!" Teivel screamed in anger.
"By doing this you will live!"
Carnage took a deep breath and explained the whole tactic that the generals would be using. Teivel was a smart demon, he understood what Carnage was doing. There was hardly a relationship between Carnage and himself. All it was was for him to continue to be general. Teivel nodded his head and raised himself into the air to follow the energy of Abraxas and Euryale. Salpson came outside and looked at Carnage. "General" he began, "I have known you for sometime now and I respect you deeply. You are a great general. You lead well, you are powerful and you handle a situation unlike any other before you. However..." he broke off for a moment to catch his heaving breath, "do not kill yourself for my brother. Please."
"I know my place as you know yours. Go to Ninurta. And if it is that I fall, follow her."
Carnage flew through the air while letting out a high frequency growl from lightning. The war cry was sung and he faced his uncertain future with a grim face but anxious fists. Salpson watched solemnly as his master flew off into the darkened sky. He had been unconscious for hours and had wasted time. He knew what his duty was and because of his loyalty he flew into the opposite direction.

In the humans base, a dwarfed old man walked into a large metallic house. Inside, there were books and diagrams. He inspected a few and then nested himself on a pillow that sat on a chair. Many candles ignited the room with light and behing his old specticles, the aged man read a book with a green hardcovered book with the title: 'Eddie Riggs: Secrets of the Mind Part IV'. Another man, tall and fit and not a day older than fifteen entered the house.
"Mr Regis, I just came by to tell you the about Master Shir-"
"I already know, Kevin" the old man said, "You know, it's amazing what your father helped build."
"Build?" the boy asked with some confusion.
"The robots, boy! The robots! Why, don't you know about all of this?"
"I was six when the red smog took him."
"I'm sorry Kevin. Eddie Riggs was a good man. Did he ever tell you about your name?" The old man smiled in an attempt to change the mood. The smile was too pleasant for Kevin to refuse and he burst into light at the thought of his father naming him.
"Well, it just so happens that it was your uncle's name. Kevin. I mean to say that Kevin was his name. By any account, your father was a great bounty hunter while your uncle was a scientist that worked with the Conquistador. Your father tried to save your uncle, but the Conquistador killed him with everyone else twenty years ago. Your father was determined to get revenge and so he tried to build machines that a single man could operate by using mostly thought. Hatred consumed him for a long time, but when he met your mather he changed. He saw the good in people again and helped bring this place together. It was then that he gave the initial designs to me. We tried building it at least fifty, or maybe it was sixty times. Luckily, humanity solved the problem and that's how we created the first Warsong."
Kevin stared at he old man for some time until he spoke again. "So, my dad really did all of that?" he asked with suspicion. The old man laughed and it echoed throughout the base and the mourning looked around themselves to find the source of the noise.

Teivel stood with Abraxas and Euryale. They looked at the giant golem as it faced the opposite direction, as if it was waiting for something. The growl was resonating in their ears as their hearts grew anxious to attack.

Jason was surprised by this man. He knew his old name. Christian Wolf. Even though he was stuck on Magica for the past 4 years 'dead' for 15, this guy.... this....Kami.... Knew who he was. But he also served Lianus, which meant he was around during the time he invaded the pyramid with Vaena and Wolf-Dawn and was fully aware of what he did. But if that much was true, why did he leave his 'master' and pursue his own goals? Kami was fine the way he was with his previous 'ally'.
But did that mean he was a Muerta? A Muerta who defected from Lianus's side to the humans? And what was this toxin he was talking about? He and his men had survived for a good four years, but there must have been a logical explanation.
Right now, he didn't have time to argue. If this toxin was about to kill him in a week, then Vaena and Dawn were in some serious danger.
And he wasn't about to let his only family die
"Fine. I'll take you vaccination, but you have to vaccinate Vaena and Dawn first, then the rest of the humans or you can kiss everybody goodbye." Jason replied. He might trust Kami, but that didn't mean every move was likable or trustworthy. And by the looks of the situation, this was no lie. If Lianus wanted to kill off all of the humans, he would have done so already. Jason tried staring him in the eyes, but he only bet a blindfold. Nonetheless, he knew that Kami felt his suspicions
"I know you have your suspicions Christian, but you're humanity's last hope. I will vaccinate your family and your men as soon as possible." Kami replied, almost desperate.
"Good." Jason replied. Being called by his old name made him feel like a failure. Christian was a failure. Jason Sevchenko, on the other hand, was not "I need to inform my men of the change. Right now, they're waiting for me outside." he touched his earpiece and waited for the pilot to pick up. The line connected.
"Captain, where are you?! Do you see what's outside? It's a golem! A huge ass golem with a fucking golem army!" the pilot shouted over the blades of the helicopter "I'm sorry, but we cannot risk waiting, we're going back to base with Alpha and Bravo."
"All teams, there's a change in plans: There's a human reservation on the other side of this planet with resources we can use to our advantage. Transfer this message to all the remaining teams and head there immediately." Jason signed off. He could only pray that his men didn't think he was crazy. But anyone who was good enough to get into Wolf-Dawn knew that he wasn't crazy, no matter how wacky his orders were "Alright, I redirected my team to head to your base. If there's a giant golem outside like my men said there was, then we need to move quickly before anything happens." Jason ordered Kami. Old or not, if this guy entrusted an entire race to him, then he needed to follow suit "But first, you need to explain to me what's going on. Why did you leave Lianus if you had everything?"

    -----------------------------------------

After expanding her chest with a few large breaths, Dawn weakly opened her eyes and realized that she was sleeping on Mama's shoulder with the ground vibrating underneath.
Dawn raised her head up and looked around, seeing people she had never seen before in strange uniforms with strange emblems.
She rubbed her eyes and looked towards the pilot's uniform. This wasn't right. Did that say Wolf-Dawn? As in, Dawn Wolf?
But....her name was Dawn Wolf.... Christian Wolf was her father. Was he involved in this? There was no doubt about it.
"Mama, what's going on? Where am I?" Dawn asked slowly and tiredly. Her eyes were weak, but she was able to see everything clearly. Heck, she was a bit more active
"Don't worry sweety, everything's gonna be fine. We're on a helicopter with your dad's friends." Vaena replied, hoping that it wouldn't anger her daughter. She couldn't blame Dawn for hating her father.
"Dad's friends? Why are dad's friends....Nevermind. I'm hungry." Dawn replied with a tired voice. Maybe her father would finally show up at the Wolf-Dawn base and see her. Maybe for once in his pathetic life he can finally meet his only child and explain why he was never there. Then she could pull an emotional tantrum and make him feel sorry and sad. Christian deserved it
"We'll be there soon, sweety." Vaena assured her daughter "Nick, you wouldn't happen to have any food on you, would you?" she asked
Nick turned his attention from his custom made assault rifle and gazed at Vaena "MREs only, nothing fancy." he answered. Nick knew Vaena since the founding of Wolf-Dawn under Christian Wolf. He was the one soldier who stood out from the rest, even though he had normal powers, and proved to the Ice Warrior that even without magic, humans could still stand a chance. After Christian's disappearance, he had been instructed to lead Wolf-Dawn into an underground facility and take over command from there
"What do you have?" Vaena asked again, rubbing Dawn's shoulder. She was getting a bit colder than body temperature
The soldier took off his excursion back off from his back and felt the weight off the ammunition, grenades and first-aid supplies drift away "Let's see." he mumbled, fishing his hand into the organized mess he had set up for easier access. Suddenly, he pulled something out. It looked like a really thick paper bag with the shape of a Kitkat wrapper "I hope she likes Chicken Fajita." he commented, opening the bag itself "It's the only thing I've got."
Nick buried his hand back in and revealed a wooden spoon, bigger than average stainless-steel spoon. Then, he yanked his water bottle off of his belt and twisted off the cap. It took a moment to unseal it: He liked having water bottles tightly sealed, he didn't want to risk water falling or drying out during intense missions or just when the troops needed to eat. It had just so happened on more than a few occasions that they needed clean water immediately, and Nick Saviro had an immediately usable water source, where as the rest only had half a bottle. Carefully, but with speed and focus, he poured the water into the contents of the bag and let the reaction take place. Handing the water bottle to Dawn to drink, he started mixing the contents of the bag for a few minutes and found that it was ready to eat "Here you go little lady." Nick teased, handing the bag to Dawn, who took it with some of her strength re-energized. She took the spoon from his other hand and started eating from the bag. MREs weren't the best things to eat, but Wolf-Dawn had learned from preceding mistakes and made the food taste good to keep troop morale high. But that didn't matter to Dawn at this point, she was just thankful that somebody had given her food "Thanks Nick." she replied with a mouthful of chicken, then washed it down with water,
"Hey, no problem." he replied with a smile. Was Dawn seriously Christian's kid? She was nothing like him. They were polar opposites. One of them knew her please and thank yous, but the other ordered whatever he wanted "You want one too, Vaena?" Nick offered, focusing his gaze towards her with a smile
Vaena smiled back "No, I'm fine Nick. Thanks anyways."

Christian Wolf doesn't wear condoms. There's no protection from Christian Wolf.
